Thanks for this great series. I’m really looking forward to your next video as I’m struggling with the “1 hour” weekly blessing. It takes me more like 3 hours-obviously I’m doing something wrong, lol. Like you, I’ve adjusted my daily focus schedule. I also prefer to do my planning on Mondays. I didn’t feel my bag and car needed a whole day to themselves, so I’ve set aside the day after errands to do food prep. It’s the day I prep my grocery haul for well organized pantry, refrigerator and freezer storage. I also do some baking and other pre-cooking for the coming week. Like you, I’ve moved family fun to Sunday after church. This frees up Saturday for visits with friends and extended family, or for catching up on tasks I didn’t manage to complete during the week. I do love Fly Lady’s flexibility 😊

Hey there, as I understand it, the Home Blessing has a time cap on it of 1 hr. That means you get to whatever you can get to on the list in that allotted amount of time. I think the idea is to spend 10 mins on each task in your Home Blessing List. Progress not perfection. After 1 hour- you stop. Where ever you are- you're done for that week! Next week, you'll pick up where you left off on your list. I think the idea is eventually, you kinda "catch up" where you'll be spending less and less time because your home is already in a state of order. Or, you know, maybe it isn't and thats OK too. Then you know that the house blessing takes you 2 weeks (2 Mondays. 1 hour ea Mon) to complete and there's nothin' wrong w/ that. 🙂

I recently created a daily focus plan. I'm also planning to do our family day and rest and renew day both on Sunday. I'm planning errands day for my husband's off day during the week (Tuesdays; also off on Sundays). Weekly blessing will be on Saturdays and my planning day is Monday. I think I kept some of the days the same as suggested.

Loving these series! I have a video request: I love putting on some happy music while cleaning. How about a cleaning music video with a timer? For example for the home blessing a timer would go off every 10 minutes. Or a 15 minute video for zone cleaning. I use a few of those on YT, but new ones are always welcome!

My husband is a truck driver and has a funky schedule. He’s had Thurs/Friday off so I try to not do more than dishes and counters/family time on Fridays. He’s switching to a 4 on 2 off schedule and I have no idea how I’m going to change my routine though! I really like to “work when he works” so we don’t spend both of his days off doing chores and shopping!
