Shane Mosley is also a legend in his own right, fought the best fighters in his generation, win or lose, and a world champion in 3 different weight classes. Got alot of respect for Sugar Shane, one of my favourite boxing moments is the beatdown he put on Margarito after the handwrap scandal.

Thomas Hearns: 61-5-1 (48 KOs) The first boxer to win six major world titles in five weight classes. Welterweight, light middleweight, middleweight, super middleweight and light heavyweight. Hearns was named Fighter of the Year by The Ring magazine and the Boxing Writers Association of America in 1980 and 1984. He is ranked number 18 on The Ring's list of 100 greatest punchers of all time. Mike Tyson: 50-6-0 (44 KOs) Reigned as the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990. Tyson won his first 19 professional fights by knockout, 12 of them in the first round. Claiming his first belt at 20 years, four months, and 22 days old, Tyson holds the record as the youngest boxer ever to win a heavyweight title. He was the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles, as well as the only heavyweight to unify them in succession. The following year, Tyson became the lineal champion when he knocked out Michael Spinks in 91 seconds of the first round. After his release in 1995, he engaged in a series of comeback fights, regaining the WBA and WBC titles in 1996 to join Floyd Patterson, Muhammad Ali, Tim Witherspoon, Evander Holyfield and George Foreman as the only men in boxing history to have regained a heavyweight championship after losing it. Tyson had a knockout-to-win percentage of 88% and was ranked 16th on The Ring magazine's list of 100 greatest punchers of all time. Shane Mosley: 49-10-1 (41 KOs) Held multiple world championships in three weight classes, including the IBF lightweight title; the WBA (Super) and WBC welterweight titles; and the WBA (Super), WBC, and Ring magazine light middleweight titles. He is also a former lineal champion at welterweight (twice) and light middleweight. In 1998, the Boxing Writers Association of America named Mosley as their Fighter of the Year and then in 2000 and 2001 he was named the world's best active boxer, pound for pound, by The Ring Ray Leonard: 36-3-1 (25 KOs) Gold Olympic Medal & gold Pan American games. Won world titles in five weight divisions; the lineal championship in three weight division as well as the undisputed welterweight title. The Ring magazine named him Fighter of the Year in 1979 and 1981, while the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA) named him Fighter of the Year in 1976, 1979, and 1981. In 2002, Leonard was voted by The Ring as the ninth greatest fighter of the last 80 years. In 2016, he was voted by The Ring to be the greatest living fighter. All inductees in the boxing hall of fame and all absolute legends.

Four absolute legends of boxing, and it is crystal clear , ONCE AGAIN, THAT IRON MIKE TYSON IS JUST A SPACE ALIEN. He is spectacularly unique, and beautifully imperfect. I will always say that Mike Tyson surprisingly turned out to be one of the truest barometers of the human condition. Struggle, abuse, neglect, discipline, friendship, perseverance, triumph, excess, gluttony, injustice, imbalance, healing, redemption, PERSEVERANCE AGAIN, luck, triumph, and a dozen more, ending off with transcendence to something more, yet always undeniably HUMAN. We are one. Mike Tyson tells me so. Have a great weekend all.
