The guys that dip into both sides and are open minded tend to have my attention a bit more and after further review and classes taken they have more credibility in my eyes. As a 23yr Veteran that isnt enough or doesnt mean crap on a resume. Quality instruction and the manner of how you pass it on to others is what matters! 👍👊

Good video. I need to do practice my grip on the berm”, but as I normally shoot indoors, will adjust as you recommended. Love the comment about having big problems if you need to reload. I hope none of us ever fall into that group! Will continue to practice reloading for competition, of course. Also appreciate the comment about getting tired. Before I started training with you, I would leave the range completed wiped. No longer. Thanks for sharing.

I had a very bad issue with this very thing.... Super accurate through slow fire but any time I tried speeding it up my accuracy went out the window. I would have the hardest time finding that damn dot through repeated recoil until a very unconventional pistol optic just so happened to randomly fall in my lap practically. My father owns a few pistols with red dots and he just so happened to be upgrading his holosun 507c to I believe a 508 of some kind and litteraly gave me his 507c for free. I immediately noticed how much smaller a 2moa dot was compared to a 3 so I figured I would give the circle dot optic window option a chance and by God it was like magic.... That huge 32moa circle litteraly helped me develop proper muscle memory and more importantly proper form with lining up the dot on target through faster and faster succession. In just 2 range trips I noticed significant improvement to the point of feeling confident enough to actually put a red dot on my edc g5 glock 19. I know competition is far from real life type training but it gave me the confidence to sign up for my local ranges competition day and I came in 3rd place out of 7 people and met alot of great people that I now go to the range with all the time.... Who knew a silly holosun would have led me to all this....

Well, I’m sure late to the red dot party! Just put a dot on my PDP. The Holosun SCS. I can see it just fine even though I target focus. Took it out for the first time last week to see how I do with the dot. It seemed to jump all over the place! But I was focused so much on the target I was shooting, I was neglecting my grip and noticing the dot jumping all over. This makes sense to me! Berm drill it is!

The Vogel grip separates my palms from the bottom of the gun, I tried seeklanders grip that puts your hand a little lower but a lot more pressure behind the gun. I do like how it makes you drive the support hand index finger up the trigger guard. Then again I’m a complete novice and have no idea what’s the correct way

So i put a red dot (green actually) on my non MOS Glock 43X with DPP plate. Holosun 507K GR X2. Plate is 1/8" thick so it sits up a little bit. When the dot reticle is centered the front sight is out of sight down low. Anyway i shot at 25 yards because the instructions said that is where it is factory zeroed. First time dot user so i tried it from 25 and i got a good group but probably 4" left and 8" high. Actually in a different bullseye that i was shooting at. 12x8 Splatterpunk silhouette. Dialed it in and got a "loose zero" lol then decided to zero from 10 yards. So i did that and then tried some defensive rapid fire shooting from 10 yards. I would describe the results as horiffic. It's as if someone bet me to NOT hit the target. Seriously. I don't know where those rounds went but i do know that the dot does NOT overcome lousy trigger and recoil control. Quite humbling actually. I've shot iron sights for awhile rapidfire and I've never shot that bad.

So the Holosun has 3 different dots, which one do you prefer when you shoot competition.

My issue is I end up pushing my slide stop up causing the slide to stay open on a full mag. I guess to high or my grip is shifting causing it?

Zayne Mikita If the drumstick I’d your palm is high but your thumb is pointing downward you may be pushing the slide stop up. Trying pointing your thumb upwards a bit. This will relax the drumstick a bit. Should be fine now.

So got out to the range and really tired to lock this in. So the dot for me returns back to where it was but I usually see the Dot go up to the top of the window and slightly right. Tried different left hand grip and right but it usually got worst. So my issue is the dot goes up and then drops all the way to the bottom of the window slight left but comes back. Not sure if I can get it any better or not then that. I went with kinda of twisting the top of my right hand back in.FYI dont have a Comp or ports, just a 5inch MP 2.0. If you can't answer this here I hope I remember to ask you about it the 19th or 20th. Thank you a ton for your help
