I love Jim Wallace, but as a black man, I can’t agree with him. If a cop is called on a black man in America... for any reason, by the time they show up, he needs to be face down on the ground with his hands behind his back. Cops who are called on black men in America, show up, and within seconds play the role of judge, jury, and executioner. The black man by the way is usually unarmed and often has his back to the cop. It’s murder plain and simple and there are literally dozens of videos of this. Black women aren’t treated much better. If someone’s back is to you, they can’t be an aggressor. There are multiple videos of black men being gunned down running away from cops. How can someone be an aggressor while fleeing? The cop reports lie. Their body cameras are turned off. Then when a video emerges that completely disproves their story, the cop still faces no charges because of immunity. But this only seems to be the case when the cop is white and the suspect is black. In the case where the cop is black and he kills a white suspect, he’s going to be fired and oftentimes arrested. The gospel saves souls through belief on God’s only Son, but people with evil in their heart will allow racism. There are many under the banner of Christianity, that love me for my conservative stances, but cheer when a black boy is killed by the cops. They love the Christ in me but they hate me. I may know Christ, but I am not Christ. In truth, I’m just a black man... same as the guy with the knee in his neck or the bullet holes in his back. For Christians who think that knowing the Lord’s name will save them, please remember the warning that Christ gave, “not everyone who will say to me on that day ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter in...” We need to be real about this. God’s not on our side and He never will be. God is only ever on His own side. At the end of this life, we need to make sure that we were on His side.

Hi David, I am hearing your words, believe me. But please consider that there is a difference between statements like: "Cops who are called on black men in America, show up, and within seconds play the role of judge, jury, and executioner." "The cop reports lie." and... "ALL cops who are called on black men in America, show up, and within seconds play the role of judge, jury, and executioner." "ALL the cop reports lie." No one wants to be judged as a group for what anyone of us does individually. Don't lose hope. We are not in a "ALL" situation here. About your statement, "The gospel saves souls through belief on God’s only Son, but people with evil in their heart will allow racism." You are right about that but it's even MORE insidious. It's deeper than racism, it's OTHERISM as I describe in this series: kzbin.info/aero/PLe2_-rdg84ak1yS0cUIet0Dsa6y8aCKIJ

You argue that God does not see race, yet you then use the expression "people of color", which contradicts your statement. This term specifically applies to a person who is not white or not of European parentage. Please clarify your position.

Yes, when I (as a human) use the expression, it describes our perspective. Nowhere in Scripture does God use color as a descriptor. I am speaking as a human, however, to other humans...

We must take the commands of Christ seriously! What he forbids only the ignorant and foolish will pretend that they can over-rule Christ and his Apostles. No murdering, no killing, or harming of humans irrespective of the excuses people are forever attempting to justify their desire to use coercion in a violent capacity. Christ has made it quite plain. "38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also". Matthew @-39 (KJV) How could you possible obey such a command being a police officer or in the army training to maim and kill people? How can you love your enemy when you are busy training to kill him and as many as you can, before they kill you? It's impossible! The command not to kill.... is just that. No excuses, no "Exceptions to the rule" but obedience to the Lord's command, by his faithful followers, no matter what the circumstances. "Do not kill" "Do not murder". "But I say LOVE your enemies, do GOOD to those who hate and despise you" How can you LOVE your enemy when you are busy training hard to injure and kill him, and as many as you can, before they kill you? It's impossible!!! "Jesus turned about, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not of what spirit ye are. 56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them." Luke @-56 (GenevaBible) The Lord Christ again."He that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints." Revelation @ (KJV)

While I respect you as a Christian and an apologist. And you have helped me understand and come to the faith through logic and reason, I feel you are too close to this. I agree with you that law and the justice system is the foundation for any society. But this Foundation is rotting. You say no one hate a bad cop worse than a good cop. Then where are all those good cops? Where were all the good cops at Standing Rock? Where were all the good cops in Portland? where are all the good cops talking about the fact that minorities black men in particular are treated unfairly by the justice systemIn every regard. From death and injuries at the hands of police, to sentencing and terms served? Speaking as a member of the public all we see is cops protecting each other above everything and everyone else. When has it ever been the authorities that were wrongly accused of abusing the public? Was it that way at Standing Rock? Was it that way in the 1960s? Was it that way in 1930s Germany? Was it that way in Jerusalem when Christ was nailed to the cross? Or in Egypt during The Exodus? Why do you think that this time in history it is somehow different?

@@ColdCaseChristianity what upsets me is when you have situations where the officer does something any good cop would hate, and the next day the whole force shows solidarity with that person who did that bad thing when they are being punished. Not one good cop among them? Of course social pressure is a thing which can't be ignored but too often, unlike the Christians (also sadly), often they refuse to turn on one of their own no matter how bad a thing that officer did. You see the wagons get circled instead... This is the most sad part to me.

@@ColdCaseChristianity Thank you for responding. I'm sure it is partially a case of the media not reporting all that many instances of police helping out the protesters or speaking out about bad cops. And I don't want you to think that I believe all cops are bad. but in your post it really seemed to me that you were putting the problems on the backs of the citizens who were calling for the police to come. That seems to me a lot like saying there would be less cases of covid-19 if less people got tested for covid-19. And If what you say is true about good police hating bad police more than anyone then why isn't it the police that are calling for justice for these actions? Why isn't the police the ones going after systemic racism? I'm trying not to offend. but it seems like nothing more than more excuses for what's happening then any actual attempt to do something about it. Now I don't know things from the police point of view. But I certainly don't see many police interested in learning the Public's point of view. And their responses seem to be the exact same thing we all heard in the sixties. So I think you're going to have to forgive the public for not trusting you in this instant. The track record is not very good. I don't think this country needs more officers explaining away the bad behavior and systemic racism of other officers. What we need it's for the good ones to own up to the fact that there are bad ones and do something about it.
