is it just me, or are there tons of hardcore and thrash bands that have female fronts now? Seems to be way more than I ever remember. Not complaining, not even close... just wondered, like when did this start to be a thing, or am I just old? Lol.

I’d say it’s been thing for a while tbh. But yeah there’s more than there was say 20 years ago, I was also a kid then so maybe I just didn’t notice either.

@@daledecker Yeah dude it was far rarer. I mean maybe in some local American scenes it was a thing, but I never seen this in the UK, with Euro bands, and visiting USA bands. There were always Girls at shows, but not usually in the bands. When it was Girls in a band, it was usually all female. This was also very rare though.

You know what it is. Thrasher and skateboarding has been a psy operation since the lock down. Its a horrible mono culture now and the industry side is paying the price. The skate industry is taking a massive shit right now. I could care less.

I will still read the Magazine, but I don't buy their merch. It's a shame as my local has this sick anti hero x thrasher hoody (green with the yellow print, looks very old school) but I don't wanna buy thrasher merch for a few reasons.

i grew up going to shows by gorilla biscuits minor threat judge DRI blah blah. that was effing 35 years ago. when i was an angsty teen. that this white boomer stereotypical music still so prevalent makes skateboarding seem old to me. i really hate it. if you like music and go to shows a lot, you know there's so much more interesting and modern music than this out there. as soon as i hear rock n roll or punk rock in skate parts i mute. i loved this contest but i agree with the "mono-culture" comment. aggro macho vibes urgggggghhhh!!! zzzzzzzzzzzz
