I wish I would have saw this video 2 years ago. I’m a 23 year old. Me and my fiancé have been together since I was 17 years old and have 2 sons together. I’m ashamed to say I’ve done all 3 things before throughout our relationship. It took time for me to gain the confidence to tell him straight up how I needed to be loved and I had to let all hurt from his past shortcomings go. with God’s help we made it. We prayed together and really started understanding each other more. Thank you for your advice. The 2nd part about women not talking outside of their relationship, I agree to a certain extent but it’s sad when one is in abusive relationship and the woman doesn’t feel safe and not realise that she is being abused until she speaks to a couple of trusted friends who points out to her that she is being abused. I knew someone who kept quiet to the point of feeling suicidal and it was only when she described her husband abuse she manage to escape. Great points overall 💖🙏🏽

I typically really enjoy your insights! This one included, with the exception of the "gossip about your partner piece." I think it needed to be clarified, especially for the women who are enduring Domestic Violence, and the absolute need to tell what they are experiencing and to be willing to talk about and get help from outside others. I hope no one in this position would feel bad or shamed in some way for choosing to tell what is happening in their relationship. Sometimes the "friends" we talk to are not the ones who can/will encourage change, for they are as deep in "stuff' in their own relationship.
