It looks like Canadian Pacific takes good care of their track workers. Those camp cars were some of the newest cars I have seen on any railroad.

Is that what those were? I thought maybe crew cars for long distance freights, like you see here in Australia, one or two passenger coaches behind the locomotives for crew to sleep in between shifts, rotating between different crews on the train I believe.

Come on down, you'll enjoy it. Besides the bridge action, can travel 20 miles south to Keokuk, see the tows go thru the Lock. With the new restaurant opening on the riverfront, great ring side seats, for bridge and river action

I wonder if Virtual Railfan will get some grab bag shots on monday related to the eclipse, as I'm certain that some of the cameras are in it's totality path. Maybe some of you watching in those areas can make the grab bag while watching the eclipse, so don't forget to wave "Hello" to us. 0:10 double warbonnets 0:43 CSX 3194 leading 1:27 Ski Train car and three private cars (again at 3:44) 1:52 another warbonnet leader 2:02 CSX OCS 2:44 NS high hood geep trailing 3:10 hi-rail truck pulling a flatbed of rails 5:40 Conductor Stormtrooper says hello. 2:26 CN doubleheader in Burlington 7:57 BNSF 7695 and 770 8:53 BNSF 14-car OCS in Austell, Georgia. Some of their trains do run to Atlanta over trackage rights east of Birmingham. 9:44 Three of BNSF's new ET44AHs. They recently started ordering locomotives with six axles powered again after perfecting C4 technology in 2012. ES44C4s and ET44C4s have only four of their axles powered to better distribute weight and power. 10:14 this guy was cutting it real close 10:47 an NS SD60E and SD40E pass Paradise without any cars. I've never seen six-axle NS power here before 11:14 NS 8098 leading 12:14 CSX 3194 leading 13:32 Southern hopper 13:50 Canadian Pacific MOW camp cars, 44 of them behind one locomotive 15:48 CP 8876 no longer has its Olympic logos, but retains its big white tripe and French name on the left side

Another nice Grab Bag. Thanks VRF. I know this takes a lot of work. I'm curious about the CP camp cars. Is that multiple camp car sets being delivered? Others on the comments echo what I thought, and that it looks too big a consist to use on one project. Any information that can be provided much appreciated. Keep up the good work. RP/Chicago.

That was the Golden Swoosh in Wichita at 7:58--cool! Loved the opening shot of train and blossoming tree, the old couple waving, the raccoon (of course), the old auto, the brand-shiny-new engines, the bolide, and especially the ending. Such pretty work you guys do!

9:49 Been on lots of those new ET44ACHs and ES44ACHs, they are very quiet, they are not amazing at moving things unless its on flat track. The stairs are way too steep and they are very cheaply built. thanks BN.

The 500 and 600 series have "Santa Fe" on the side (warbonnet) and the 700s and 4700s have "BNSF" which some call fake bonnets

I see a lot of CSX Transportation Passenger cars on VRF. Starting @ 2:07 I count 14 cars, CSX says they have no passenger service, but they are used for transporting personnel from location to location. Any truth to that?

Camp trains provide living and dining quarters in places where motels are too far away from the track work. NS uses them, too.
