I truly wish I could be a mama like you! Finding such joy in providing for your family in the old fashioned way instead of the way we do now. Especially for Gabe and yourself and allergies. You were meant to be a mama♡♡♡

I only discovered your channel recently and let me tell you: it’s wonderful. You have a beautiful family, God bless you all. I love the way you look after your family in the old fashioned way. I wish more people realised that’s how we are meant to live. Please keep up your encouraging message. 😊

When I hear you go through all the disclaimers of wich and what, and why you buy it I feel sad. Apparently you feel like you have to defend yourself. From maybe nasty comments you have been getting. Please know that (if anything) the people who follow you are behind you. We know that live is all about making compromises. And seeing you making decisions and taking care of your family is just a great joy! Don't ever apologize for your way of life or the way you live it!

I homeschooled our two daughters all the way to college, and your videos bring back fond memories for me those times. But more importantly it reminds me how much I accomplished in those seasons because I had to be diligent in all the areas. Now that my daughters are grown, one married, and I have a grandchild, it’s tempting to keep easier pace. But you inspire me to be more diligent about gardening, preserving, home keeping, And mentoring, all while running my two home-based businesses.

I live in Australia and I love daylight savings because of the extra light but my body clock is always out for that 6mths and I always tired. I love when Autumn comes and we turn back our clocks, I feel normal and human for the cold mths. If I had to choose I would pick winter time just for how I feel energy wise.

I loved this. 😊 So inspiring and encouraging. We order from Azure too and have started milling our own flour. I'm so glad you said that about the rolled oats gunking up your mill, I hadn't thought about that happening. I actually did try to order oat groats last month but they were out by the time I tried to order them. I'll try again this month. Loved the bed in the family room, such a great idea and sounds so functional. We have done "unconventional" things like that too. I love how real your home is, it reminds me of mine. Except mine is in the throws of a big renovations so we have some not so pretty parts to it right now. I hope your nap was restful, so wise to give yourself that and to encourage other mamas to do it. I did when mine were napping ages too. ❤️

When I was home schooling my three kids, out library had a series of books that showed what people eat in other countries, complete with recipes. That might be something you could add to your country study, if you wanted. We had wheat and dairy allergies in our home too, although not as severe as your son's, and we still found interesting things to try. Now you have the bonus of You Tube videos to watch about this as well.

I love watching your videos so much. I am an introvert as well. When my kids were young I always rested when they napped. Although I have 4 kids, not 7, I did child care in my home so always had others as well, often 7-9 total. Nap time was mandatory, even if they just had quiet rest time and read books or listened to audio books. I needed that time to refuel and rest and withdraw for a bit to get through the rest of the long day. I think it is so important. Mommies go from early in the morning until late in the evening and that break to refuel makes all the difference.

We were wondering, if you'd share the cost of running the freeze dryer, the increased cost of electric is our concern in thinking of making such an expensive buy. Thank you for sharing your busy day, I remember the days of home schooling the children, canning, getting prepped for the next days meals, preparing meals during the day for our family. I still do many of those things just more on my time schedule and yes I still try to nap, even if it's just for 15-20 minutes, it renews me and since we rise at 4 am, to get my husband off to work, read our Bibles, breakfast made and his lunch packed he is typically out the door headed to work at 5:45am, then my day begins for things I need to do here. We try to retire by 9pm in the evening doing a couples devotional.

Our dish washer breaks so often we gave up on it too. Even after it was replaced. It's just been better to get used to doing it by hand each day rather than depend on a machine that isn't reliable and has left us in a lurch too many times (in the form of a mountain of dishes, lol). We use ours for storage...pots and pans and cutting boards and oven gloves.

Barilla makes a nice line of legume pasta the red lentil is shown as Gluten free on a dedicated line. Chewier than regular pasta but mixed with other pastas it gives a complete protein. Good for extended storage I believe as I've got an old brand of soy pasta that is at least 20 years old. Haven't tried it as it was really chewy but I assume its still good. Manual grain mills are available for 30-60 dollars. I just crack cheap feed store corn with it as the corn is 9.99 for 50 lbs last time I bought about 2 weeks ago at Rural King. Cracked corn and beans makes a very tasty dish, with onion, garlic and jalapeno I have it for breakfast almost every morning. Field corn is higer in protein than sweet and higher in fiber as well. The whole puffs up nicely when boiled uncracked. Storage? Who knows? God Bless you Ma'am.
