If you like the sharks, hold on to them for a little while to see if you change your mind. They will not take up too much storage room and you may feel differently later on. I really like the framed prints in the bathroom. The colors work so well. Potato is a cutie. The flowers for your mom were such a sweet touch.

I love pretty much everything that you got on your thrift hunt. That said loved your thinking on how everything went together in correlated for your bathroom. Yes the little frames are a little more serious and grown up and the little silver striping inside picked up some of the metals in your bathroom… And the blue gray in the shark definitely tied in and I think that it’s absolutely fine to show a little bit of humor in your decorating and it’s definitely conversation piece… If were to live in your apartment where else would he live but your bathroom?! Fun stuff! 😊

Hi there 🙋🏻‍♀️I truly admire your thoughtful gesture of buying flowers for your mother; it was a beautiful way to show appreciation as yes us moms when our kids come home we loving do it all. Potato is absolutely adorable, and I especially love that little NOSE. Sharing your thrifting and antiquing adventure was so enjoyable, and the bathroom looks fantastic. For future enhancements, perhaps you could consider saving the sharks for next spring/ summer and placing them on the top of cabinets where you have a few vases. Changing the shower curtain to a pale blue might also be a lovely touch. ❤️❤️❤️🙋🏻‍♀️🤗🤗

I agree, one by the shower. The tile is kinda wavy, like a low tide ocean kissing your toes at the water’s edge. Sometimes one needs a little quirkiness to make one smile. Kudos for getting your Mom flowers.

I love where you put the bird, as it is reflected in the mirror and looks like he has a friend flying at him. 😄 A little trick I use to avoid uneven picture frames, is to stagger them diagonally. I would raise the left one to just half way of the width of the right one… Hopefully that makes sense in other words measure the right frame the side height, then raise the left one by half of that and you will have a nice diagonal, that is more visually appealing/interesting.

Hi Gail! I love the prints AND the sharks! I’ll offer my opinion since you were open to having viewers share… I say move the prints to your “option 3” then you can see them as you enter the room (I think). Then place the sharks where the prints are now. I think they’d be facing the shower right? I love bird art but it bothers me where it is placed now as it looks like it’s flying into the mirror! Lol! (My home has huge windows and often poor birdies fly into them with a sad outcome most often). Maybe the bird can be placed somewhere in that it’s facing away from a close by wall. As always, thank you for your video and Happy change-of-season to you! I know NYC loves when cooler fall weather arrives!

Hi Gail, I'm new her . I may have stumbled on to your channel just before my dad passed away💔A little over two weeks ago. I believe I saw a full apt. tour . Anyway, I'm fairly certain I left a comment then as well. I enjoy home decor videos a lot .I especially am drawn to you as a person SO here I am again. I just have to put my two cents in but never mean it to sound like I have a clue about interior design. I don't. But I do feel like I have a pretty good idea and like to think I have seen countless hours of videos and television programs of the same that I feel free commenting. It's not like you have to even consider a stranger's input. SO here it goes. GREAT decision about the sharks. No ,sadly they didn't go at all. However ,I think the wall you held them up against is the biggest in the bathroom. Therefore I also feel as if it needs the largest piece or pieces of wall decor . I loved the two paintings on the wall where you hung the seagull . One above the other. I was so hoping you chose that location for them. For some reason I thought the little bird carving would fit in w/ them on same wall some how, but I've changed my mind. I think the bird holds it own on that wall BUT if you try the pictures there again maybe the carving can stay somewhere Have you thought about a large framed mirror I know you already have one in the bathroom but as you know you can never have too many mirrors and they always make a room seem larger. A pretty wicker framed one OR a singular framed piece of art just much bigger ? OR some floating shelves. Bathrooms require a lot of items and even necessary ones (i.e. cotton balls, q-tips) can all be displayed in pretty apothecary jars etc. Some old soap dishes and/or small soaps or kitschy art sculptures of old bathtubs or a rubber duckie . Good Luck. Best.

Can the sharks be hung in the shower? Or is it all tile? They could be around the shower head or the back wall of the shower. Sometimes I hang things inside cupboard doors, or where I store my plates in the kitchen.

I think that the sharks are a bit more Kitch than your style, but I can totally see the draw as they are a bit funky - I do think they can be cool though - what do you think about knocking off the coral part at the bottom and then just using the top part with the shark itself? I think that has more of a vintage look versus a look, you know?and if all else fails, you can certainly resell or donate. It might be just the thing someone else is looking for for their space!

I actually love the sharks! Really kitsch! Silly and fun. I have a very realistic lobster on my wall in the bathroom - I adore him. The other side has half fish half lady illustrations (victorian style) in small frames, I bought those on etsy. I studied design at art college, so I stand by the pro shark choice. Regardless of what your other viewers think! Hahah……

IMO--no to the sharks. I would have put the 2 pictures where you put the wooden bird and get a larger picture where you put the pictures. It's a bigger wall and you need a bigger picture. I would never put pictures near your shower for the chance of moisture or water getting on the pictures. Good that you're not in a rush to decorate. Always good to live in a place a while.
