this is the best song that eloy plays to sepultura, in my opinion. He talks about this song on Drumeo, about brazilian culture's influence on his style of drumming and you can understand the solo on this song. The solo is actually a samba! Yes i'm brazilian and I'm so proud and happy to see him in slipknot, one of my favourite bands.

As a drummer.. I can say this. And I’m gonna say it very firmly. Jay was really good and did a great job with Slipknot. But he wasn’t Joey. It was glaringly obvious. That was fine.. but it’s not really fine is it??? Joey can’t be replaced truthfully. So I’m gonna say that Jay wasn’t even in the same league as Joey and it’s not a shot, It’s just facts. But as a long time fan of Eloy..I’ve been saying it for years.. this dude could make Slipknot great again if they got the songs and heart to do it right! It’s hard to be angry when you are a millionaire. But I hope these guys are fueled by this amazing drummer! It will change Slipknot forever

Eloy can compose well, he’s been making new songs for sepultura and his side projects for more than a decade, and he’ll probably bring a lot of originality to the band with his proficiency in brazilian rythms, check his videos on drumeo

The key word here is "creative" on slipknot's note about Jay's departure. I cant think of any Slipknot songs that have jay's signature on it in the past 10 years. When we remember Joey, there are many of those songs where u hear it and you're like "thats Joey". We'll def see that with Eloy if he joins the band

Dude! I watched this the other day because if popped up in my feed because i watch Slipknot videos and have been a fan since back in the day. I've seen Eloy play before but when i watched this i had goosebumps. He fucking destroyed this song! In a good way! I seen Joey play this so many times and even in the beginning Joey never played this hard. Plus the different fills Eloy through in there were so precise and fast were so brutal. So yeah this was refreshing to say the least. Great reaction video too man. Great how this algorithm works here on KZbin 🤘

But there's was a video years ago with Corey saying Slipknot will have revolving members and keep going even after the originals are gone. Some dude said that will never work...
