Hi All, I want to note that the crust in this recipe is more dense and crumbly, which is how it is traditionally made. This is not the fluffy, puff pastry kind of crust, which is the more modern take on curry puffs. Thank you.

What are some of your favorite things to eat on a rainy day? For me, it's savory snacks like the curry puff. Take care everyone!
@IchyJo3 жыл бұрын
On rainy days my family has this tradition of baking a whole chicken with cinnamon added to the usual spice blend. Not only does it taste fantastic, the smell travels. If anyone comes to visit at the right time, they’ll mention it coming through the front door. That’s a nice feeling ^^

Thank you so much for this recipe! I ate a Thai curry puff for the first time at a Thai bistro the other day and my god the pastry crust was the fluffiest, airy-est I’ve ever had the pleasure of sinking my teeth into, like eating crispy deep-fried cloud! ☁️☁️☁️ I don’t know why I bought only one that day! Hopefully your recipe will help me recreate the same heavenly texture. Can’t wait to try it tomorrow 😋 Btw I love how the swirls on your curry puffs stay intact even after deep frying!

I recommend looking up "Pupae Curry puff" on KZbin for that fluffy, crispy crust. That version is quite good too. My recipe's crust is more dense and crumbly, which the traditional version. Thank you so much for watching. It is a tasty treat.

I watch this video but my mom was from Singapore and she would make yellow chicken curry and curry puffs. When I came home from school I would drop my backpack off and immediately leave the house for a few hours cause I couldn’t stand the smell or taste. I feel like I can still smell and taste it but it’s been so long I don’t know. Is this something adults will like if they didn’t when they were kids?

Thanks for watching Casey! I hear you. I used to hate the smell and taste or durian fruit when I was young but now I love it. Maybe you will like it now
