It really is weird that people sit somewhere and read, watch, and listen to all the things that offend them. I don’t like auto tune vocals or Fox News, so I don’t listen or watch them, why would I sit there and torture myself by doing those things? Seems there is a line between being informed and trying to understand and being perpetually in a state of self-inflicted angry victim hood. Thanks Vic!

@Đeath Vader Grew up listening in the 1970s listening to songs of the 60s. Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, and Janis Joplin didn't have perfect voices, didn't make what they were singing about any less impactful or important. I tried listening to Beyonce, I just don't like it, doesn't mean I don't like her. I did find a clip of her singing a gospel song to some young kids (no auto-tune), it was beautiful to me.

@Đeath Vader Not true, you can definitely hear pitch correction in a lot of people's songs without it being used creatively (Which in my opinion is fine.) It just comes off like a vibration across the note. It's bothersome because most artists do it now. I think Edward Sheeran is pretty good about it. I don't think many of his songs use it to cover up the vibration of flat notes like a lot of artists. People need to remember that overall most people can't sing well at all. Nasely and or windiness in the voice is an atrocious and common thing in the industry that is corrected even during live performances. (It's easy to do because you do a recording session before hand, have everything pre-set so during weaker parts auto correction fixes the note while live.) Since they need a label face, it's pretty rare for there to be legitimately good singers in my personal opinion since they can just find models with an okay register and tweak it to make it good enough for most people.
