I bought this game yesterday (2023). I can confirm that the problem with the trains getting stuck, and the turn table not moving that well, have all been resolved. It is not a problem with the game you buy today.

I'm just waiting when one of the editors puts an explosion animation with whiteout and/or mushroom cloud on the hammer drop at the end. It's inevitable as passage of time. The day will come.

If Thinkfun had this as one of their puzzle, I think they would have done a better job with designing the components and board (would be of higher quality made and easier to manuever)

I had the same, where the score-tracker in the middle moves better counter-clockwise instead of moving correctly/smooth in the right direction...

I have the same issue with the counter. But luckily my train cars move smoothly across the board. Seems like getting a good puzzle is just a luck of the draw

It hurts to have a TTR game with poor quality components since Days of Wonder is known for their beautiful components that were ahead of the curve for modern board games.

Though it looks cheap with pasted-on branding, maybe they were trying to introduce the TymeSaver-style puzzle(popular among railroad modelling hobbyists who want their models to be playable) to the boardgame audience, while making them much more affordable than handcrafted model layouts(since the layout stays functionally the same)? I wonder why that and Inglenook haven't been adapted to boardgames before. Would make for interesting competitive or coop Euro shunting games. Or at least solo-only games

Has the Ticket to Ride name but contains no elements of Ticket to Ride beyond train pieces. It's not even a light strategy game. I thought Days of Wonder were milking the concept to death but this is animating a dead idea into an unholy abomination.
