Been saying that coaches create stars. Give some of these talented guys enough run and you can make them a star. But not everybody gets the OK from upper management.

Basically telling us its rigged without directly saying its rigged. I been saying this for decades. The reason the star player get the big bucks is because they want the star to shine (get a Return on their Investment). It is not about winning or who's best, unless the STAR is the reason for the team winning or the best

The change in players salaries happened when LeBron and CP3 got into the negotiations with the owners. The owners were hiding money and misrepresenting revenue. Lebron and Chris Paul made them show all the money including tv revenue and that's when the players 49% became far more valuable
@AseeF6 күн бұрын
100% . CP3 is sometimes annoying af with his politics and that will always be a chip on his armor, but no one can deny his leadership for NBA players association. Same with Lebron. MJ got a lot of his teammates paid. but Lebron got players as a whole paid across the NBA. Both are very well respected by players. Teammates and Opponents.

A lot of dudes gotta learn that they got to work on every part of their game and sharpen at most 2-3 skillsets that is transferable to any team in the NBA cause you can be a killer from HS to college and then just be a roll player in the NBA and like they said you can cook the lottery pick all you want in practice but their name puts butts in seat

Thats why iverson is internationally loved. A 5’10 player was relatable the nba needs to get back to small guards instead of showing wings love
@Waverunner217 күн бұрын
He truly was the people’s champ. Don’t matter if he won rings or not.
@boshamburger1237 күн бұрын
The 5’10” is also straight facts!!! He was listed at 6’-6’1” in the nba but he really ain’t close to that. I got to meet the man about 5 years ago now, I am 6’0 on the dot in shoes 6’1, when I shook his hand I was actually surprised I had at least 2-3 inches in him. Shows how much heart that man have for real, also was listed at 165 probably played closer to 150- 155. And still went out there killin all these big ass 🥷’s night in and night out. To think because of a frankly racist NBA head coach there was a narrative going around that AI was lazy most of his career. That man played with everything he had every damn night too! He would have have his given his fucking life out there on the court if it meant winning the title over the Lakers that year (Not like old south racism, but just old white dude ignorance racism. lol you all know what I am talking about- type of old white dude where he truly thinks he isn’t racist, yet still would view any 🥷s who didn’t try act like Carlton on fresh prince was a “thug”. Not intentionally malicious racism, but just incredible ignorance that though not intentional still damaged many players careers because of old white coaches pushing every ignorant stereotype they heard over the years onto a young player simply for how he dressed. Kobe said it best “we should all (referring to NBA players in general) thank god every night that Allen Iverson wasn’t 6’6”.”

I dont trust Spencer for the morale of the team. When i hear him talk about Harden and the Brunson Mavs it makes me think he doubts Kyrie. A small thing that can spread in the locker room. From a team that looked at Kyrie as an Idol and leader to a person who chose the Lakers because he didnt believe not in Luka but what comes off as he did not believe in Kyrie. Even after being proven wrong he still comes off in a way likee Kyrie didnt embarrass Harden or that he went to the finals without Brunson and spencer, or that Kd needed Kyrie.

I be saying it all the time…the NBA and its teams (and players) are just like every other corporation Their number one priority is profiteering from the game of basketball at every opportunity Winning is secondary and often times an afterthought The Lakers have poor ownership and management, and yet they still attract star players and every year they are among the most profitable teams if not the most profitable
