Tie-dye pattern : Cherry Blossoms (Quadruple Spiral)

In this video I demonstrate how to tie-dye a cherry blossoms pattern design on a t-shirt. For this shirt I will do quadruple spirals to reflect the cherry blossom flowers. So to begin I start with the spiraling, scrunching, and rubber banding of the shirt. After that I move on to applying the liquid procion dyes to the shirt and letting the dye batch for 24 hours. Super cool technique! I would have done a soft pastel or mint green instead of the dark purple though, to represent the leaves on the tree. Kind of an Arizona Iced Tea vibe! (That would be a great one to do next, fold the shirt into a rectangle like a can even haha)

Awe thank you and absolutely. I love Tie dye and definitely feel it is a rare art form that should be shared and appreciated. It’s definitely my passion and I find so much joy in creating these patterns that are truly unique and one of a kind. Even if I recreate something as exact as I possibly can it will always be a different from the original. I’m blown away by that idea alone 😊🤯💜

That is really cute! Have you ever done one that is ocean themed? Maybe a seashell pattern? (The scallop would be the easiest of seashells.)

What are those scissor, pliars, pincher things called? And do they lock? They kind of look like something from the 60s that my parents used for a roach clip, but I don't know what they are actually called.

Thank you for asking! They are called hemostats. They do lock and they are very easy to use ☺️
