Do you use e-scooters in the city? Let us know if you think these can help improve our congested streets and reduce pollution.

I think so. They're way more fun and easy maintainer than a e bike... I hope the UK will make these legal to use on roads for private ownership.

its bad capitalism that makes alot of accident which will cost the city a lot. Also the money is straightly taken out of your country

honestly speaking these scooters are closer to tourist toys rather than reliable transport and if someone pays attention to the app reviews they’ll notice a lot of riders having accidents on these things now considering the scale of the rental scheme and the liabilities attached to maintain every scooter I think it’s safe to say that there aren’t many long term benefits to these projects sure they’re fun and electric but are they truly safe? will they have to share bike lanes? are the impending lawsuits from pedestrians struck by scooters truly worth it?

The people hurting themself are doing stupid shit that puts themself in jeopardy. Obviously you can't drive it over a curb that's bigger then the height of the tire...🤦♂️

The hell are you on about? We have them here in Vienna and they are honestly a great option for mobility around the city, I've been using them as a compliment to the public transportation grid whenever I need to get somewhere that isn't walking distance but neither is it worth taking public transport.

betetr to buy a scooter than pay tier . One year of using tier would buy you a 2500 euro scooter. Dont waste your money on rental of scooters.

It should have a type of special umbrella mounted on the front of the scooter to protect against rain or cold air.

Seems like they thought of everything except for the one thousand scooter racks and parking. Leaving the sidewalks of Berlin littered with unused scooters in piles. Piles walking passersby have to navigate or trip over

If anything: 1. Instead of being stuck in traffic in a car, people choose to speed by people on the sidewalk which can easily cause damages. 2. They take up way more space than a car because they're out everywhere. In the specific part of oslo that i live in, there's almost 50 of them within a 2 minute range of my apartment. That's an absolutely absurd amount. 3. It encourages younger people to be lazy because they see how easy it is to get their hands on one. 4. Again, they're used on the sidewalks a lot of the time instead of the road or the bicycle section which is stupid because it causes a lot of issues in a large city. However well done to anyone who drives them on the road. 5. They're dangerous of not taught how to use them and people could get seriously hurt. Just last week i saw a guy lose control and he hit the wall due to a tight corner. This resulted in him losing a couple teeth. 6. Sure they're not as dangerous as a car but they're not fault-free either.

bicyces are very different, whether you think its better or not, they require effort, no one wants to arrive to work sweaty, they also don't have the *new and innovative* feel to them

@@adrianobarbet3282 Sure I'm down for a critique of cycling too, take it further! But this mini-doc didn't have any critical perspective! E-mobility is being sold as an environmental solution, and then ignoring all the materials, energy and waste as a result of it. If it's just about convenience fine, but that isn't the pitch

@@davinderc you're assuming that people move from cars to e-scooters. More likely people who would have otherwise walked, taken public transport or a bicycle would take an e-scooter. Again, none of this is discussed or reviewed critically in this video
