Awesome tutorial! I just finished a couple, and here are some things that I've noticed/I did wrooong. #1: When Tiffany says to make the lapels small, that's an understatement. Go a lot smaller than you think that you need! Seriously; my first one looks super weird because I did them too large. #2: Make sure that they (the lapels) are matched perfectly in size; it's a lot easier to topstitch the cord-channel and it generally looks better if they're even to begin with. #3: When stitching the seam allowance on the lapels (noticing a pattern here?), use the same thread as you'll be using to topstitch/finish the bag. It's kinda frustrating having them slightly mismatched when finished, and it can be quite noticeable. #4: Did I mention that it's an awesome tutorial? 'Cause it is! :)

I just did the same thing. I want to learn how to make doll clothes and some of the tiny parts are easier with hand sewing. Though it might be good to practice on something bigger.

Making a bunch of these with a historical look. I'm using two colors of 100% linen (may do one with thin wool too). Making the drawstring out of braided/double twisted wool thread. Plan to hang it from a belt viking style. Thanks for the tutorial! Really appreciate it.

Great tutorial! I've made one with some scrap fabric and zero sewing skills, to test if i could made one, and i actualy made a NICE dice bag. It was realy easy! Just finished making some DC comic themed bags for my nephew for Christmas (he's getting DC dice masters from his parents) and am almost done with a Marvel themed pair for myself and my husband. Absolutely LOVED this tutorial. The bags came out perfect and were so simple! Though I like to think I'm crafty, I have very little sewing experience and these were easy enough for me to make and look professional. Thanks so much for making the video and sharing! The one tiny little thing I added once they were otherwise 100% complete was to sew a stitch at the center of the bottom seam to tack the two liners together so that when you pull your hand out of the bag you don't feel like you're pulling the inside liner out with your hand. And I also put a cord stop on the paracord of each bag before tying the knot.

Thank you for making this dice bag tutorial video!! I started a test bag yesterday, making it out of boring white canvas and cotton fabric, and I've been hand sewing it with embroidery floss since I don't have a sewing machine. Anyway, my bag has turned out a bit wonky because I didn't measure accurately enough, but I am still proud. All I have to do now is add the drawstring. I'm excited to make a better version with prettier colors! But this dice bag tutorial is hands down the best one on youtube, all the others are too vague, or too fast, or just downright uggo in my opinion. I was even able to follow along with this tutorial without the sound on for most of the parts. 10/10

Yes totally using the lapel idea from this. No extra fabric for the drawstrings needed sounds good to me. I'm planning on using a circle base, though. Definitely a step up from sewing my rat hammocks. XD

when you box the corner if you want 2 inches measure down from the corner 1 inch then draw a line across at that mark. I don't know if I explained that we'll but basically whatever you wand the side to be measure half that distance from the corner

Nice tutorial. Needing a new dice bag. Not for D&D because I just bring me a couple cheesex cubes with my dice sets for that. I play Warhammer 40k Orkz and well we use LOTS of dice. My lotus deluxe dice bag is starting to get packed (about 130-150 16mm D6 in it). I need to make a bigger dice bag or a regular sized one to relieve the bulging pressure off my lotus dice bag...... So I can get more 16mm D6...... Yeah it's unnecessary to have that many dice but I love the fact that I can have that many. When you got a big squad of Ork Boyz that if set up right can do about 6-7 attacks each (times that by 20-30) and you have a big fun time with the carnage...

Nice tutorial. Soon I'l have a lot of weird dice, including some large d24 and d30. I guess I'll have something around 120 dice. I guess I would need to do a much larger dice bag to store all these dice. Unfortunately I don't own a sewing machine, so I would have to do it by hand. Maybe I'll try someday.

I hand-sewed 2 of these bags for myself and a friend for Dungeons and Dragons and I still use mine for my dice :D I plan to use a sewing machine and make another, cuz I've found they're telling perfect size for holding a tarot deck!

this is a great tutorial! as a beginner, though, who literally hadn’t used a sewing machine since home ec class in 7th grade, i found it a little easier to sew the lapels before the sides had been done. super helpful otherwise though!!!

I've made some Dragon Chow style bags (for Dice Masters) and a few basic pouch style bags before (Carcassonne and Dino Hunt Dice). The technique for boxing the corners is nice though. Great video.
