First of all, you look GORGEOUS! But also, thank you so much for getting to point where you didn’t listen to all of the reasons why NOT to start this channel. I am quite new here but I appreciate you and your insight so much. I recently watched a video where you spoke about basically having to keep our promises to ourselves since we get to a point where we can get so used to letting ourselves down/letting ourselves get away with excuses that it becomes our normal and BOY! Were you talking to ME!!! Piggybacking off of the work that I’ve been doing since that video, this one is also one that I REALLY needed to see. No one in this world gets in my way more than I do and it’s crazy realising how, after truly understanding and recognising years worth of patterns, everything I want is honestly so attainable. I’ve gotten so used to giving myself a day off, which becomes a week off, which becomes MONTHS off of whatever it is I try to encourage myself into doing that even when I REALLY want to get into consistently showing up for myself it’s abundantly harder. I’ve been showing up for myself more now though and as difficult as it is to unlearn these patterns, I’m grateful that I’m seeing a difference little-by-little which in turn goes a long way in encouraging me even more. Thank you so much for doing a video about this topic. I hardly ever comment on KZbin videos, but this video resonated with me. I have been drawing since I was a kid and past few years I've been forcing myself to try new things All. The. Time. At some point I succeeded on doing something hard I hadn't done before and got such a confidence boost that I became addicted to it: I constantly felt like I need to look outside the box, try new techniques and improve myself. During this time I forgot to actually draw things I want and not just do it for the practice. I used to have an art account on Instagram, but because I felt I didn't really have a "style" (for constantly trying new things to stand out and to impress other artists with different styles) I deleted the account. A week ago I realised I still dream about having an art account, so I can create a community, get to know other similar artists and use the platform as a portfolio to show the people around me who I really am and what I really enjoy doing. But instead of setting up the new profile and immediately posting my art, this idea struck my head that I should draw about thirty pictures in advance and design my feed without showing ANYONE what I am going to publish. This way after having the posts ready, I can later grow my account in peace without letting others influence what I want to do, because I already have the "base" of those thirty posts - and that base is 100 % pure Me. The thought of posting without having external opinions scares the hell out of me and I constantly think about how my artist friends will react and what if they think I am trying to be something I'm not, and I want to forget the idea, it feels stupid etc. But BECAUSE I feel so scared and insecure, I feel that this is the right thing to do. Every time I finish a new drawing and add it to my feed plan, I feel so inspired by MYSELF! And that feels so amazing and so weird at the same time! Because now that I'm not showing anyone what I have created, I actually listen to myself. I don't know why before it was so hard to just implement the ideas I got, but now that I have done it for (even if only) a week, I know there's no going back. I've also had major problems of not knowing myself well enough to really say what my (art) style is. I feel that during this video I hit a breaking point and finally realised that just doing what I enjoy naturally determines my style. Trying new things and experimenting is of course desirable, but I also just want to do my own thing, even if it's boring or something everyone else does or at least seem to be doing. The thing you said about being in this vortex is actually so true, sometimes I feel that I do things because they are trendy or that eeeveryone is doing the same thing, but the things might actually not even be that trendy. And the artists that inspire me and I really look up to usually do the SAME thing, so why should I not be allowed??? No one is telling them that they should try something new: they follow the artist because they like what they're already doing, not because they're waiting for the artists to try something new!!! I hope this comment doesn't give the kind of image that I cannot take criticism and that's why I don't want to show my works to anyone: it's actually the other way around. I often get compliments, but they affect me in a way that I start pleasing everyone by creating what THEY want to see, even though maybe I didn't enjoy that particular piece of work. And even though I am excited about this Instagram account thing, I'm still going to make sure I don't get addicted to social media. I really just want to post, have a quick interaction and then leave. I'm glad I'm taking this time to myself and to isolate so I can peacefully, at my own pace, get to know myself. I would have never thought that I need to do this kind of thing with my art and creative progress: I've always felt that I am true to myself by trying to be myself around strangers etc. but others' opinions and my insecurities about my creations were so deeply rooted I didn't even notice them!!! Thank you Tiffany so so so much, for everything you do and speaking about these things! I am finally releasing my true self to the outer world and not just showing a fraction of my potential, but all of it!!! XXX

This was great! I’ve definitely been holding myself back in multiple lanes in my life but I have SLOWLY been taking steps forwards. However, I can absolutely let go and allow myself to hit my goals a lot quicker!
