Good job ! Your tig looks different to mine ? I just fit the rods into the end and no need for gas. The problem with me is trying to keep the rod end just above but not touching the metal ! You didn't appear to have that issue ??

That sounds more like welding with an electrode and not this kind of TIG welding😅 do you also have a torch like me?
