That comment got it a like and subscribe on it's own. The fact he swears and tells it like it is is why I will keep watching!

My krg xray on my woomera has the same problem with bolt extraction so krg has rubber orings on the posts so it goes back in at correct height. Cheers for the vids

Excellent video, I have 308 Lithgow X-ray, same problem with bolt removal, the zip tie’s capital idea, will definitely use zip ties.

That oneleaf nv100 plus scope and nv add on you showed is a ripper set-up after dark, i use one on a similar setup gun to yours but in 223 and it was super clear at night out to 200-250 meters dependent on the weather.

Got a very good deal on a tikka and was wondering what frame to use. After your review , going with the same mdt as yours.

Nice shoota, good combo being big scope 22-250 and chassis. Be a good long range goat gun too. Thanks for another good video.

I have the same XRS chassis and love it. Just putting out there that MDT now sells an adjustable butt pad for height and cant... not sure if that's your preference but want to make you aware of it. Cheers, mate!

Thanks for another informative and entertaining video mate, was hoping you might be able to advise on a decent smith in Vic? Recently had a shit expierence with a smith doing a crooked thread job and really knocked the wind out of me.

It depends on what you want done, some specialise in repairs, some in builds... not all do the same work. Hit up HiCal Firearms if you're in central Vic.

When you say heavy, how heavy is it... I'm thinking of the same chassis for my Tikka T3X Varmint Hunter in .243. It already past the 5kg mark now with the 23.7' heavy barrel...bit of a bugger lugging it round the hills, but dead steady from the ute or of the bipood. I reckon the factory single stage triggers are great, albeit with a 1.5lb spring
@fhckoutdoors Жыл бұрын
At the moment its about 7kg.

Have you looked at the Accura Varminter 5-30 x56 with illuminated reticle. They're a Chinese made scope but an Australian company but the quality is quite impressive. I have one on my 6.5 Bergara and I can't fault it.
@fhckoutdoors Жыл бұрын
Never heard of it. I'll have to check it out.

Any feeding issues using the 308 mag with a full 5 rounds in it? MDT says to run reduced capacity in 308 mags when shooting 22-250.

I’ve never had an issue

Nice build. The day night scope reveiw should be interesting as to what you can see at night, I have never had any experience with them.

Mine fails to eject all the time, to the point to where I won’t take it hunting anymore it’s just a plinker now unfortunately.
@fhckoutdoors15 күн бұрын
@@spikex41 Most commonly this happens when people put massive scope on and have them too low, the case juts the windage knob and bounces back in. Have you tried filming yourself ejecting and seeing where the case is hitting?

Ive got 2 as prs rifles in the mdt xrs, its a good comp chassis, i dunno about a carry rifle though, they aren't light weight.
@fhckoutdoors Жыл бұрын
Definitely not a carry rifle.

If you get the clip on NV scope, an IR torch is a must! Ive shot 60 foxes this year and all using the pard nv clip on with the extra IR torch, it will give you a lot further range and it also saves battery life in your clip on. I'm shooting a Tikka T3x pollyfade 223 with hand loads👌53grn vmax 🦊💥
