Colleen I LOVE the idea of a "special event/magic maker". I imagine it like when you hire someone to come in and help organize/design your closet but creates magical holidays! It could also 100% be a mail-order company so that it doesn't matter where people live - so then the parent only has to spend 10 minutes putting everything out at night. LOVE IT

As a Brit, its stressing me out that they generically called a cadbury creme egg a "cadbury egg". Cadbury literally owns most chocolate in the UK. There's cadbury: mini eggs, creme eggs, caramel eggs, oreo eggs, egg and spoon, not forgetting the different easter eggs 😅...ok I'm hungry now 😂

Fun fact about biblical history: so I'm an art historian and I've done a lot of research about women of the Bible bc that's in my area of study. From a historical standpoint, which is different from the Bible, which we can't treat as an accurate historical text bc it's been changed so much, one plausible theory among historians is that mary magdalene wasn't a prostitute but actually Jesus's wife. Later on when the Bible was rewritten, mary along with most women in the Bible were made into prostitutes bc why would strong intelligent courageous women need to be remembered as anything other than whores ya'know? So in conclusion, you and Erik are both right and both wrong about who mary magdalene was. Most people in the world really don't know who she was bc men in power way back when didn't want you to.

There are actually TONS of theories that Mary magdelon (sorry idk how to spell it) was actually Jesus’s wife! Obvi just theories, but a lot of people argue that she was one of the only women allowed at some of the events / there aren’t other women mentioned so it’d make sense that they were together. And in that case IN THEORY Jesus cOULD have had a kid/bloodline (which is what the Davinci Code books mention hahaha)

They’re just simply traditions to celebrate solstice, equinox - simply the changing of seasons - when life was hard AF (still is) 😊🎄❄️🐣🐇💐

I'm with Erik. Jesus Christ Superstar is the best rock musical EVER. My uncle was a priest who loved technology/audio equipment and he had a top-notch stero system and listening room at his parish home. The first time I listened to that musical in his audioroom, my mind was blown. Those songs still hit hard! Also, Mary Magdalene was Jesus' wife. The patriarchal Catholic Church villianized her.

I remember thinking what a good idea! But I do all the Easter stuff at my house so I didn't save the info. I'm in IL, in Chicago suburbs. Wish I could remember more info or their name. The company felt TERRIBLE about it so they just went out and bought 30,000 empty EGGS 😳 it’s going to take them a year to even fill them up. Then to redo them when they go to do it because half will be open again 😂 I feel so bad for them!

I’m with Colleen I think a nonprofit that you can pay what you can or if you cannot afford there would be a free option. As someone who who wanted kids but hasn’t been able to have kids I’d love to donate a holiday experience to a family. I always buy things for other people’s kids because I enjoy making holidays a fun experience. In our house the Easter bunny left the eggs hidden in the yard and my mom got our basket (an actual basket) which had a chocolate bunny and a few extra goodies and small toys that could fit in the basket. I had never heard of people giving lots of gifts or large presents until I was an adult. When I could eat candy (with food allergies I can’t eat anything) I liked candy corn, loved Cadberry eggs, and Peeps are TRASH! We got a solid bunny like once when we were older. It was crazy and took forever for me to eat.
