honestly, a lash tech should refuse to do lashes if the client doesn't want them washed. The client has a right to refuse washing, but the lash tech has a right (and honestly an obligation safety wise) to refuse service. Like if I go to get a medical procedure and refuse basic hygiene practices like disinfecting the area, the doctor would refuse to do the procedure. While yes, lashes aren't as risky as something like surgery, there are still a lot of of infection risks if not done hygienically, even with the potential to damage vision

The unlicensed lash artists really gag me because I'm a licensed aesthetician and even though I'm legal to practice I know I can still get sued and screwed if I don't have private insurance. These people are brave.

As a computer repairman I only shamed one business and that was for a practice that was completely immoral. The business in question would open up all the computers they work on and peel off all the labels, including warranty indicators, and would also scratch off all the serial numbers. The reason why this is completely immoral is because it voids warranties like no other repair practice. And also, it makes it so that if something happens to that repair business, they get shut down or something, who's going to be able to service the client? There's no information on the computer at all except for what can be pulled out of the system information section of the BIOS. And that was the same business that insistently reported me to the state DTF when I first started even though I was legit. Every time he heard anyone mention me, I got audited. That is why I lost no sleep in learning that the same place got shut down this past year, even though the back and forth that I had with them was back in 2012. Another repair business started in his place, and they don't seem to resort to ethically bankrupt practices to keep clients.

As a small business owner myself, I am so grateful for this video. Especially today! I had to deal with a difficult client texting me at 7am to complain after I had been so nice and patient with her. It’s nice to relate because sometimes, we business owners don’t have an outlet to discuss these client horror stories because talking about it can seem unprofessional to the other 99.999% good clients. That’s why I keep it pushing but I’m not going to lie, it hurts to be taken advantage of and disrespected. I’m at the point now that I realize some people have their own personal and mental issue that cause them to be so unreasonable and I’m not their therapist so it’s not up to me to fix it. Having proof and your receipts is 100000% important! So yes! Keep those screenshots in a folder as a safety measure, learn how to see the red flags sooner and let it go. 😌

Esthetician on a medical break here! Lemme tell you, the lash world is INSANE. I was only by it tangentially at one of the salons I worked for and the drama I encountered was insane. Not to mention one of the lash “artists” I worked with was sloppy as hell and I fear for her clients sanitation. May have written a letter to the state about her. @@Gracieroseyxox It depends on the day tbh! I think I have a rather non aggressive form of it. I know there are people who struggle far more with it. Some days I have fainting issues but showers and heat definitely make me far more susceptible to fainting. I’ve just figured out my triggers and how to manage the symptoms I have. That’s the dumb thing about POTS, it never affects anyone the same it seems.

I kid you not something like that just happened to me at work. We had a negative review left and my boss so happened to come across it. At first she was telling me how I should be with customers and how I should have handled things better. I forwarded my boss the whole email thread and communication I had with said customer. As I am at front when it comes to dealing with customers, I always try my best to resolve customer issues and give the best service I can as we are a very small business and I fully believe in giving the best possible. What I don't do is let someone try to take advantage of me or a business.

I was a server for a while. Someone left a bad review for the restaurant and used my name in it saying I was drinking from customers cups and then serving it. They even said “she probably drank some of the beer she served to another table. I was going to tell them but I didn’t” this review broke me to my core and it still really bothers me to this day. I wasn’t a good server. I got overwhelmed very easily and have dyslexia and would get orders wrong. I was not very good. But I did go and try my absolute hardest with my whole heart and really would go and run for 10 hours up and down stairs because we were a two story restaurant and the kitchen was downstairs. I absolutely without a doubt would never drink or do anything so someone’s drink. I believe in karma and I still go out to eat at restaurants. Also workers at the restaurant drink from the Togo cups not the glasses. I was really upset. I got called into the managers office and got a talking to. My manager knew the review was fake because it’s insane and he knew I wouldn’t do something like that but he was still upset. I didn’t get fired thank god but I think the review is still up. I still worked at that restaurant for 2 more years with that review up. My tables could’ve read it. It breaks my heart.

Google is just messing with everyone. I only know the costumer side of the story where it's a futile endeavor tryting to post a negative review since it gets taken down if you're lucky and if you aren't, the business is threatening you with legal action. Mind you, that's the case in Germany and perhaps in the US Google and the law are more on the costumer's side but I hate that dishonest people have ruined the review system for all of us.

I just have to comment....lumi has saved my life! Regular deodorant was making me have red welt like rashes under my armpits that hurt and itched constantly and I was embarrassed by it. I’m allergic to aluminum so I use Lume. Honestly, people always say it lasts days and they don’t put deodorant on every day but mine barely lasts 24 hours. If I don’t put it on at night, I stink in the morning. That said, I’ve tried 5 brands and Lume is the one that lasts the longest! So I still recommend it. Before I realized I had allergies, I didn’t have issues with smelling on regular deodorant so I know it’s not me. (I did have itchy armpits though lmao)
