Finally got around to installing this tilt bucket on the 313. Had this thing for over a year now.

2:35 It’s fitting with small hole drilled through it , it’s made to be a restriction so the bucket doesn’t slam.
@smithworx10919 ай бұрын
Well it's spring loaded. But I think it's still like what you're talking about. Acts as an orfice
@PurpleNovember9 ай бұрын
@@smithworx1091 Yeah those springs won’t take very many hits without the flow restriction and there’s a lot better control. Your machine doesn’t necessarily need them installed but it’s assurance. I’ve seen plate and boom weld cracks from those things slamming back and forth.

I don't remember which video you were talking about cameras, but I ditched Go Pro for DJI Osmo Action cameras and they're great. I have a 3 and a new 4. They knocked off GoPro. But function properly
@smithworx10918 ай бұрын
I want to try the DJI. These Go Pros just don't last. It either won't cut on, shuts off for no reason or won't save the video that was just recorded. Appreciate you letting me know about the DJI.

I bought one of those from AMI three years ago…big game changer…it’s been sitting behind my shop in the weeds somewhere…it didn’t change anything…just a pain in the neck having to hook up the lines, easier to just use a standard smoothie bucket…waste of money actually!

Well that's disheartening lol. I'm sure this one will be the same way though 🤣

Yeah you think you’ll use it all the time and then it becomes a hassle, now the rotary ditch bucket looks like it would work well for my pool work jobs…but I’m not plunking down 12,000 for that thing!…I’ve managed just fine so far…lol!

For that price get another one and have the most of the bucket cut off then have a big ripper welded in. You’ll be able to angle under the tree and rip roots.

You're one invention away from changing the game!
@PurpleNovember9 ай бұрын
@@smithworx1091 I’ve always had to think outside the box to find solutions for my clients. That involved a lot of equipment modifications or building from scratch. I was always building stuff as a kid and I guess my brain is still that way. lol Edit: I’ve also seen and heard of inventions in the equipment world that were real game changers and some that were lessons in what doesn’t work. I’m just lucky enough to have been around this stuff as much as I was and able to work with some truly great minds who did change the game.

That bucket looks huge. I like the replaceable cutting edge. Can't wait to see it in use. You must be left handed because it just seems natural to me that the bucket would tilt to the right when you push up on the switch and to the left when you push down. Did you video Jimmy working on the trailer? Y'all be Safe Out There
@smithworx10919 ай бұрын
Well I changed it back. Because I kept wanting the bucket to operate like you said. And I never thought about being right or left handed would make us think like that. And yeah Jimmy got a good bit done on the trailer. Just waiting on some more parts to come in. I never order enough of what I need the first time lol
