This generation won't know how important he was until he's gone. As a Spurs fan, I don't want to sound like a homer, but watching Tim in his final days is something I knew would come, but never thought I'd see. I love him, I love the Spurs and I hope we can pull off 1 more title, maybe 2. I was 7 years old when that lottery ball fell to the Spurs and my dad I danced around our living room, but I think I was just too young then to know what that really meant. Fast forward to 2012, and I am now 23. Words cannot describe how thankful I am to have had Tim Duncan as a role model growing up, and it brings a tear to my eye a bit when I see all that he is still doing for the youth in San Antonio today. What he means and has done for the SA community simply cannot be captured in words.

I can't help but cry or almost cry when I see the ending of this video. Man this guy will truly be missed 1ce he is gone, and it's onto rooting for Kentucky's 1 and done players for some people.....but not me. This guy stayed in school, developed into a better player and human being, and is a cornerstone for this league that promotes individualism over team; shoe deals over championships; popularity over progress; points scored, over titles won.

But how much hype does he get? How many times do you hear him mentioned on BSPN? How many commercials is he in? Where are his billboards in China or Russia? The man just wants to win and go home......very underrated, like Bill Russell, and also like Bill Russell, you won't appreciate him until he's gone. I'm a Spur fan for life and this man single-handedly changed an entire franchise (the true definition of a franchise player).

when i was younger i was a beginner in basketball, and i must say, when i saw SA Spurs, i really looked at them and thought they were the empire. The dynasty that will rule the NBA for years to come. At the time i couldnt really appreciate that sort of thing and i wanted them to lose , as i grew older, my respect for Duncan and this organization is great. They dont make over exaggerated moves, mistreat their stars or cause a ruckus, they focus on what basketball is suppose to be about.

ALOT took him for granted, I as a Spurs fan just thought he would be there forever! I know it seemed like it, but it went by so fast :( It seems like yesterday he was winning his first title damnit! I know we took him for granted too, thinking he would always be just 20 and 10 and always there, but now it shows he is fading.

Duncan is a true champion. he not got carried to a championship, he never lucked his way to a championship, and the refs never gave him a championship like Kobe Bryany. He led his team there, beat the best of the best, and earned his championships. People don't realize how great he and the Spurs were. Spurs should've won 5 straight championships from 03-07, but bad luck got in the way. Duncan is the best PF of all time and the best player since MJ.

Man, I was almost sobbing when I saw this vid. It's just amazing. Thanks man, helping to remember great days who will never come again. Number 21 shall be retired with Tim, as a way to show how much we cared and appreciated his attitude and will to win. I don't know what will I do when he retires... I just can't think about it.
