Love the though behind the corrections you've made and I'm sure a lot of people will benefit from your expierences. I’d like to see you shoot outdoors in the snow. Hunting Wisconsin during the whitetail rut can lead to some frigid temperatures which will force a bow hunter to adapt with extra clothing. I’d be curious to see your take on dealing with those conditions

We all hear people talk about repeatability in archery and how it's so important. Not to say it hasn't been discussed but what I haven't heard discussed is making sure you look at your sight tape from the exact same position when dialing in to ensure you're getting the exact yardage each time. I personally put my temple to the end of the limb by the cam so I know I'm looking down at the tape from the same position each time. If I look down on it I'll get a different distance than say if I look from a flatter angle. The angle you look at the yardage indicator against the tape could vary a yard or two depending on how you look at it. Yes or am I crazy? Thx for the video 🤙🏼

I dry fired my revolt x. The strings I wanted Were going to take a month or more. I went to the shop and shot everything. Now I have a revolt x and a Hoyt vtm34 . They are so different both amazing bows .

Ss34 just for easy tuning. They all shoot well but the 34 is my choice
@TimConnor13 Жыл бұрын
Honestly both solid bows.. at home tuning easier with a bow tech, no bad choices ✊
@larv1er Жыл бұрын
I tried every bow at my local shop last year (Mathew’s, Bowtech, Hoyt, Prime, Elite, and Darton) and it came down to the VTM and the SS34. I ended up going with the VTM and am very happy, but I’m still curious about the deadlock cam system. I’d say just assess wether tuning or a more inline system (picatinny) are more important to you.

well done. You're honestly about how to get better shooting your bow is appreciated. Guys like Levi or John Dudley make everything seem so easy, but nobody sees the reps they've made to get to that point. I have to say though, you're so lucky to have access to MFJJ and his skillset. That's a gamechanger compared to your local Scheels guy tuning your bow.

Tim... good stuff. I personally purchased the CBE 3microV that you were shooting ... I jus' couldn't come to terms with spending $600 on the Dial or the UV Slider. They are beautiful, but the CBE is a great light weight sight for half the price. That says a lot cuz I was using the Triple Stack --- which is awesome as well - jus' really heavy.... Really enjoyed this. I'm in a very similar place in my archery journey aside from me not taking it up until late in life. Picked up my first bow three years ago and it has been a challenge to say the least. I unfortunately don't have a place like Spokane Valley anywhere near me, so I do my best in my backyard where I can get out to 60 and a field where I can shoot further than my current capacity. I'm going to play with some of the things you've put in this video. I'd love to see some indoor stuff.

Awesome vid. I enjoy learning about what things you fixed and how you fixed them and being able to apply them to myself if I recognize the same things. Another vid idea that would be cool to see, once the snow flies, is playing around with stab length and weight, and or minuscule things with your release/hand. And then could talk about what your experiencing and things you notice good and bad.

I’am gonna give that Vegas face idea a try. That sounds like a logical way to see your inconsistencies. And as far as ideas for vids take some of these bows you guys are reviewing and chrono them at 30” and on there lowest draw length what ever that particular bow goes down to. So someone in the middle can do somewhat of some math to figure out where they might stand. Anyhow good luck on 100K and keep making great vids. ✌🏻

The other thing that helps with speed wobbles is a controlled draw that allows you to come to the stops rather than hitting the stops, if you hit the stops hard (and fast) the bow and stabilizer tend to twitch, which tends to delay settling before you can come to aim, within reason the quicker you can settle, aim and execute ! The better !
@marshallhaslett8717 Жыл бұрын
How about a video where you shoot indoor with Josh or one of the others at the shop and diagnose each miss and describe to us what creates a low hit vs a high hit and right and left etc and they can point out things in your form if they see any.

Have you considered using the sight ring instead of the light on the UV? I really struggle with sight picture because the white inside ring doesn't have the 6 o'clock, and the ring adds a layer of locking in that I couldn't get with the light because the flat bottom and top.

I have bad eyes inside the 40 o cant see much.. outside 55 no prob...so i started shooting vegas inside that i cant see much but ok.. nobody where shooting vegas at 20 yards.. we had 50 vegas face papaer targets in stock at the club.. well we are out of them now! Every body got addicted!Starting to shoot trought targets.. when you are really into bow shooting you go through phases... first you are scare to shoot far shots .. then you just whant to shoot farther.. then you get good at it.. groups are nice ..and you say well that's one at 60 yards in the middle and this one is a bit low ohh thats a flyer.. not vegas.. you get to mesure your abilities and accuracy.. at first you say oh lets try them all to be in the yellow.. not the case..
