I picked up a tip from another influencer, she uses 2 mascaras, a tubing/lengthening one, once dry, add a volumising mascara....since doing this, I am really pleased, long thick lashes, ...and tubing mascara first, as it comes off with warm water (must be warm) but I have had some of the volumising stay on and be flaking off in the morning if I didn't quite get it all!! Just thought id share that top 👍👍

I'm 61 and actually went back to some of the deep rich shades I wore in my youth... I'd been wearing neutrals for many years because they seemed to be more youthful looking as I got older. I always wore my hair in a sharp Sassoon bob and at some point, the red lipstick and dark makeup shades that I used to love just looked wrong. I think something happened to my hair after menopause and surgeries because it went from sleek and straight to wavy and almost curly, and my hairdresser cut it to show that off. It affected my fashion and makeup choices : regarding the latter, the stronger, deeper shades looked great again because my new hairstyle gave me a softer aspect.

Yes!!! I have had straight fine blonde hair all my life went through menopause 58-60, after 60, suddenly my skin and hair weren't oily all the time, I had cut my hair to a bob, then shorter with all the hot sweats, and for a while it went thin and dull, but vitamins and a better diet and 'the changes' finished, it has perked up, but is dry, and has some curl!! I've never had curl, could rule lines with my hair😂, so I'm enjoying a pixi cut now!!

I have the L'Oreal mascara and I agree with you, it clumps, doesn't give volume and it's hard to wash off. I love the ELF eyebrow pencils. I bought the grey colour and that one was very disappointing. It's blue! 😢 You look gorgeous!

@@kerrylou3 it could be. I have pale skin and white hair, which used to be auburn. I use either the ELF eyebrow pencil in neutral brown or the Florasis in black. So when I ordered the ELF in grey, I was expecting a soft black/grey but on me, it's blue.

I put baby shampoo and water into a container that foams when used. It's great for removing eye makeup. One swipe of a cotton ball. I'm an octogenarian now so given up makeup but love to watch Kerry Lou. You're a beauty.

The concert was really fabulous, Madonna was very sweet to her audience expressing how grateful she was for such a loyal following after all these years, which was nice to hear. just discovered your channel and so appreciate your perspective and approach. can you address sunscreen as part of a full make up application and as part of the "no makeup" look that I use almost every day? I have very fair skin with lots of sun damage. at 71 I try to religiously apply sunscreen every day.

I use sunscreen everyday - I use a moisturiser with SPF so I don't have to even think about it. it's by Dermalogica, and I've been using it for years now - howl.me/clOlNNdxcCL I don't think to mention it when doing a makeup video, because to me, it's like brushing your teeth - something everyone should be doing - but perhaps I should address it from now on, thank you.

My hair texture is similar to yours however it's long (mid back). I want to get it cut like yours. Please share what kind of cut do you request at the salon.

My hair is on my shoulders, I don't want it to be shorter, because I am enjoying styling it in a messy bun most days. I ask Mark, (my stylist) to give me some layers so I can wear it curly if I like, although a blowout lasts me a week, so most often that's what I do. I make sure he knows to maintain some fullness at the bottom to help make it look thicker. Also I ask that he doesn't cut it on too much of a slant in the front, because I like to see some length from the front, and don't want it to look like a mullet 😂 Although, I see mullets are making a come-back with some young people (why don't they learn from our generations mistakes?) Perhaps since your hair is so long, you should do it over two cuts spaced out a couple of months - if you're happy with the first length, you can say OK, do the same again, but shorter? Let me know how it goes - good luck!

Gorgeous! I am very curious of the Cover Girl foundation. A couple over 60 KZbinrs said it looked great at first but settled into fine lines as the day wore on and looks awful. Younger content creators love it. Did you have any issues with it emphasizing lines into the evening? If not, would you credit the primer? Thank you!

Thanks so much! That's a very good question regarding the primer - I've worn the foundation over the course two weeks, most of the time I used this primer also, but sometimes just over my regular moisturizer. To me it looks invisible, but my skin looks better! I think using a brush for application, at least to finish is a must - it kind of breaks up those "pigment bubbles".
