My advice is don't chase the you tube dream....its a massively over saturated platform. You'll never be happy if you buy things for the "channel" ... buy what makes you happy and just make different type of content. Car meets, drives out etc. The problem is everything you just described that you've done on your channel.... every man and his dog has already done on you tube. Don't take this as a bashing, I actually like watching your vids.

Of course they have! I get it man trust me... i watch so much of it, and all the stuff that does well has budget. I'm not in denial with the situation just at a point where i wanna push into/onto stuff that'll do better

I dont think the car is the problem. I also dont think if you got a new car that the views would go majorily up. Keep the Megane. You could review my Meg at somepoint if you like? Could you not try some link up's and start doing more reviews on other people's cars? Other channels that do this seem to get ALOT of views. Its just keeping at it i think. Defo dont sell the Meg, more than likely end up regretting it and having a platform like you say had been covered over and over. I see channels like "The Other Stuff" building his subs from cars like vaxuall corsa's and cheap mods. I dont think another fancy car will do the trick. Maybe a mixture of videos around Renault's. I bet there is alot of people with Clio's and Megane's that will happily offer up there car for a review (like myself)

You can always insure the car on track as well, bring your cameras to a track day and I’ll take you out in mine mate, Brands 18th this month, 25th Anglesey

I feel the same way. Want to move on. Actually want to go the RWD Manual route, which is quite limiting. For you, the RS is too highly strung out the factory, so mods just seem way too expensive for what you get out of them. Try looking down the JDM or BMW route. Perfect for mods and content for your channel :)

Hello mate, i had one issue where it just started going off when i tried to open the door even though i had the key 😂 disconnected the battery and left it for a bit and it's been fine ever since!

I know you’ve done comparisons but maybe an epic 4 way EDC comparo of 280 edc stock and mod, 300 edc stock and mod and trophyr if lucky to have some bring it along. Then do same for manual versions. I think a 4-5 car comparison just widens the market and time measurements on same day. Another cheaper mod is the pedal box. Better throttle response and be interesting with your drago if there is definite improvement. Last of all, don’t sell it…I contemplated the troc-r and cupra formentor but they were soul less when I test drove them.

Thats some good ideas dude! Issue with the 5 car videos would be space and safety, like to truly experience those cars and put them head to head I'd need a track! 😂 But i will try do that in a way that works for me for sure! Appreciate the comment man 🙏

You could also so some vlog style videos, where you go on great roads with the Mégane. Also, you could try to get your hands on a Golf GTI, Hyundai i30N etc. and compare it to the Trophy. Do a driver training with the car, it is safe, no stone chips etc. but you can see the cars behavior better on a flat, big surface that has been wettend. ☺️

Yes, I think it would be entertaining seeing you use your car not only for comparisons to similar cars. What does a Mégane owner think of the experience in a Civic Type R i.e. Also a driver training is a lot of fun, so I think you would enjoy it yourself. In the end of the day, it‘s your channel. You could also show maybe a visit to a car show, a track event, car meets… Like I said, as a vlog maybe. Surely there are events out there us from abroad have never heard of.

While watching some videos and reels, I sometimes remember that they have been filmed in public and it must be very strange seeing this 😂 But I think with time this will change. Maybe start with a cool roadtrip, maybe together with another friends and their cars. Surely it‘s easier than capturing IAA or Geneva Autoshow. I also thought about a possible replacement of the Meg, but honestly, there isn‘t a lot available… Jaris GR, GR86… But other than that, what should you pick? Golf 8 R or GTI? Hell no! Mégane is still such a pretty, exiting and relative unique thing 😁

If you move from the Megane. I would heavily suggest the Yaris GR, FK8 or FL5 Civics. Huge modding market and both cars are well supported upto 700bhp plus track mods if you wanted to go down that road. BMW and VAG are overdone by most youtubers and i wouldn't see you standing out from the crowd unless you had some massive insane idea. But sadly most of them have been done already. Its a shame to see the 300 go but if you feel you cant progress with it anymore. Thats understandable. I've tried to get info for a gearbox unlock/map but got nothing back or any information. It sucks because theyre such good cars to drive.

Why don’t you invest a few quid on track days mate, use it properly as intended instead of building a great car then selling it on and never experiencing it at its best, better pads and fluid and do some track days, will do well on your Chanel especially if you meet like minded people and get there cars on the Chanel as well.

I'd say go with an F2X M240i as there are loads of mods for that car and they have been gaining popularity recently. Regardless, I will still tune into your channel

People just aren't into french cars like they were...like you said other channels with the same manufacturers is massively over saturated (ford,vag,bmw) so it is a tough one..i agree with the above comment though..do what is best for you and makes you happy i know that doesnt help the channel though. Maybe just go full send and convert to OF like most others and get your old chopper windmilling for a £10er a time and see if thats more liked than the meg 🤷‍♂️🤣

As you know, I sold my RS280 and got an S3 8V. It's faster but the Meg was the better car. I looked at the current M135i but it's ugly! I would keep the Meg and wait for the facelift M135i and strike!

I wouldn't get a 135 mate, especially after dropping the straight 6... but the 135/140 scene is absolutely booming for content so i wouldn't even touch the sides!

@@VersionOneUK yes, I did expect it to help in Race Mode and when pulling to a red light with a bit harder breaking. In these situations, I noticed the „loose engine“ the most. But you can fell it with every gearshift. Good investment! ;-)
