When you had the equipment there why did you not run water to the barn?
@patrickinottawa275 жыл бұрын
Probably because "as Al mentioned" the budget was tight for doing the electrical. Electrical only has to go down a couple of feet (depending on the code where you live). A water line has to go down below the frost line which is at least four feet and that would cost more money. It also means he has to heat the barn 24/7 or spend money on heat tracer cable and then hydro costs etc. If I remember correctly, he mentioned eventually doing rain water harvesting for all the animals, as he did with the pig's and New Yoke City.
@daviddobson89335 жыл бұрын
I can see where it is a little more money however if you are renting equipment it was the time to put the water in. No you do not have to heat the barn you put in freeze less system. Pex would of been the way to go and depending on code he might of been able to use the Sam trinch.
@patrickinottawa275 жыл бұрын
@@daviddobson8933 A contractor was brought in for the driveway, final site grading and the trench along the driveway for the electrical. Al mentioned the budget several times and commented the electrical was only able to be done this year, thanks to a couple of kind donations. Otherwise it was going to be left till next summer. The rest really depends on the code in the area and what would be allowed.
