To give due honor to Kevan's deck, this is the story he invented as the theme of the deck, and it's awesome: Deep in the heart of a forgotten badland swamps, an abandoned mine whispered tales of untold riches. Two daring grave robbers, lured by the promise of treasure, ventured into its dark depths, their lanterns casting eerie shadows on the damp walls. As they delved deeper, they stumbled upon a chamber bathed in an otherworldly glow. There, seated upon a throne of bones, was the ancient sorceress queen, her eyes gleaming with unearthly power. Before they could flee, she ensnared them with her orbs and soul ring, casting a demonic dark ritual which that drained their life force and animating them into mindless zombie lords forever enslaved to her will. With newfound dread coursing through their decaying veins, they stumbled out of the mine and into the moonlit night. Their mission now was to spread the sorceress queen’s curse, turning unsuspecting villages into hordes of the walking dead. As they roamed from settlement to settlement, a cloud of pestilence followed in their wake, engulfing the land in terror and despair. The once-thriving villages now lay silent in darkness, their streets haunted by the groans of the fallen. With each passing day, the sorceress queen’s power grew stronger, her influence spreading like a plague across the realm. Those who dared to defy her were met with a fate worse than death, condemned to join the ranks of her undead army. And so, the land became a realm of darkness, ruled by the sorceress queen and her legion of Scathe zombies, a grim reminder of the folly of greed and the paralyzing dangers that lurk in the shadows. Honor to the winner's theme and also to Kevan's! What a great day to remember

I honestly missed a lot of plays. To be fair, I had been drinking a lot as this tournament was about the friendship and playing the way magic should be played….for fun. The best tournament I have ever been to. Sebastian is also a better player than myself and a great guy. Big thanks to the Venezia Lions for the event and Timmy for the coverage, and thanks to all for the new friendship.

Using a slabbed vintage reserved list card as a coaster is the ultimate flex 💪

I bought a graded 6.5 Underworld Dreams for cheap. Cheaper than raw. My intention was to crack it and play it, but the low grade is pretty funny, so I just left it and use it as a coaster.

After having drawn for turn and drawn with howling mine, finally drawn 2 more from library, you can now put cards back from a pool of 4, seems like this interaction was missed quite a few times, even though it useful.

For those wondering, Sylvan allows you to draw 2 additional cards Howling mine forces you to draw an additional card. Sylvan then requires 2 cards to be returned which were drawn. So you draw 4, return 2.

They should make them do one round of these kind of build in pro tour so nobody knows what they are likely to play against

Both players were great sports. The nature deck was kind of brutal though.

Agreed, it was super strong in the flavour field, but I do appreciated all the time he put into the deck pic and the back story.
