Hi, could u please tell me the right temperature of lye when it's time to put oils in it?

Temp will depend on what you need to do with the soap. You never want to work with cp soap hotter than 120 degrees F. I don't like to work with it higher than 100 degrees F.

When using Mango butter or Shea butter or whatever kind of butter do i buy raw organic brand? Also refined or unrefined with these products. There are so many kinds and brands want to buy the right ingredients Thanks Tena

Tena Haugdahl It's totally up to you. I prefer unrefined butters, and organic if possible.

Tena Haugdahl About your mango butter question, I have never heard that. I buy the refined from Soapers Choice. It's hard to find unrefined, and it's usually really pricy when you do.

You mentioned a list of oils , where would that be ? Are these cooking oils or specialty oils ?

I provide an extensive detailed list of oils in my book, but you can Google soap making oils. In the beginning I recommend starting with grocery store oils.

Can lye solution only be made up day of soaping? Can you store if from one day to another?

Lye can be stored air tight for up to a week, but I highly recommend making it and using the day. Lye will lose strength after being mixed with water and sitting. Lye crystals not stored properly will absorb moisture from the air and lose strength as well.

How many degrees celsius should the oils be?

100 degrees F is about 38 degrees Celsius
