Tingmo or Ting Momo is a traditional tibetan steamed bread that is incredibly fluffy and soft. Tingmos are very light and go well with a variety of Tibetan dishes like Son Labu or Shapta. In this video, I will show you how to make soft Tingmos in a few easy steps.

500g flour
290ml or 1 1/4 cups water
5g yeast
3g or 1 tsp sugar

Never say motherland, Tibetans only have a fatherland called Phayul. Some countries like Russia and China have motherlands, we Tibetans and also many other countries have fatherlands. This is why studying is important.

Actually I liked this video because you sound like my Bala. I learned a new easier way to make tingmo. Bala showed me the way to make where you cut strips and stack them and then twist with chopstick but I like your way since I'm lazy. 😂

ones I had eaten this ting in my home town Kathmandu. After I became a fan of its goodness but I didn't know the name and again wanna try it but unfortunately it never happened. today I saw this recipe and I'm so glad to see that and will definitely try it...Thank you for your beautiful recipe.

My first time TINGMO was some of weird I guess yeast didn’t work correctly due to high temperature of water. Second time it was perfect and I am sharing my puffed TINGMO to everyone I know. I can squeeze it like a soft ball. 😊

To my wonder why most of the Tibetans love white flour for Tingmo and for the bread? Why? It is because of colour? In reality this white flour Maida has more gluten than that of whole wheat flour. Gluten is not good for stomach and digestion. It seems that many don’t understand the important fibre content.
