The first girl made the best point that the second girl completely missed. No one is black. Shes saying it needs a brown undertone and thats important.

It isnt that nobody is that dark. It is that they just put black face paint in a bottle with no nuances. Even if a person is that color they still want depth and sheen. There are undertones to black skin. Come on. This is the same thing that you would paint a wall in. Flat. Black. They went to Home Depot and squirted some Behr flat black interior paint in a bottle and called it a day. It is the lack of trying for me.

I’m less mad about the foundation and more disappointed in the jump between Shade 600 and the next shade down. There’s so much missing between the two. I just think if you’re not going to make an obscene number of complexion products these days, just don’t make those types of products. In the world of 50+ shade ranges, you will always look bad by releasing less than half of that (unless you’re just putting out a tint).

i think she truly believed someone out there had that skin color and she wanted her rihanna moment

The fact that it turned grey when mixed with another lighter shade….there wasn’t brown in that shade at all looks like 🤔 they lightened it on the website too, that says a lot.

I get the other woman's point about dark skintones but the color lacks dimension. That being said a foundation should be used as a foundation. Like if you have to find uses for a formula then this is a failed product

An argument I be seeing is that it's just a "mixing shade" for black people to use to make another one of their shades darker to make it match. First question, why should black people HAVE to mix their shades while light skin people can just take their shade off the shelf. Second question, WHY SHOULD THEY HAVE TO BUY TWO BOTTLES?? It is $48, buying two bottles is $96 not even counting tax and shipping. Korean, or just most Asian, brands are always known to not accommodate to dark skin, which is why people including Golloria are mad about it. They are trying to claim they are inclusive to dark skin while not actually being inclusive.

The 2nd girl with the blue shirt is advocating that human skin is literally pitch black, no undertones, nothing. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 That was the dumbest reasoning I've ever heard

There is no warmth in that color at all. Like how does trying to get deep brown go black? Black is a fantasy make up color like white Blue, Green etc.

They should get a lab test on the darkest shade and see what comes up 🧐

The comments on how the street cast models were "so sweet" is very condescending. I hope that they were paid well.

This is all publicity for the company. I had no idea of this brand. So now it’s all bad but then she’ll come back with approved foundation shades for black women. After that hype will pick up that she “finally got it right” and she makes lots of money from fairer skin women from the start who of course is who they prefer to market to and then now they’ll have the darker skin girls money as well. Sickening 🤢

The minute we start building our own tables instead of begging for seats at other people’s, we would be in a much better place and much more respected.

I’ve never even heard of this company before this! I feel like it got her name out there! With it being 2024 shame on whoever created “black” foundation. With zero undertones! Again everyone knows her name now…

I feel like im just not gonna give my money to brands that dont give 2 damns about us. Like people beg Korean brands to make darker and deeper shades of some cushion foundation when im like screw them how about when a brand makes a cusion foundation

I went to ulta to see the shades in person and I swatched the darkest shade and it was literally just black like charcoal with GREY undertones. It’s so bad.

This is soo soul crushing. It happens at the exact opposite end of shade ranges as well. Everyone should be able to feel beautiful.

Has anyone had the ingredients lab tested to see if it's the same thing as the camo paints? Because that's what it looks like to me.
