Just yesterday I accidentally seem to have destroyed my CAB. 12V doesn’t work anymore, but 9V somehow somewhat powers the CAB. It may be repairable, but the CAB M+ seems to have multiple options that can replace a lot of other gear. Thanks for your video.

Was going to sell the Cab M to buy a Captor X but now its my mini pedalboard amp in a box so its going nowhere. All they need in the next physical update is an effects loop and bam they have a super duper all in one solution. Guillaume is the man. Thanks for the excellent review.

Hi and thanks for the review. I have just purchased the Torpedo M+ and I cannot find any of the 32 cabinets listed in the manual. (the reason I bought it was for the Fender cabs). All the 32 presets are something entirely different, like custom presets with names like Chicken Picking and Texas something. There was supposed to be a preset called Silver 77 which should imitate a Fender Twin Reverb, but it’s not there. I’m really confused. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Peter

Great video, thanks. I'm thinking of getting one of these pedals to use alongside my HX Effects and an audio interface for recording into a DAW at home (and actually a lot of time time without the DAW because I'm often too lazy to power everything up). Do you know how it would work with something like the HX Effects to allow the OD / Fuzz / Distortion effects to sit before it in the signal chain and for the the delay, reverb, echo, chorus effects from the HX Effects to sit after it in the chain. I think the HX Effects allows you to create an FX loop for conventional amps and then position the effects blocks either side but I'm not sure if the equivalent can be achieved with this......or is there another amp / cab sim pedal which you've seen / tried which you think would let me do that?

Mannnn. I pulled the trigger yesterday on a Victory V4 The Countess, and the Torpedo Cab M+. I've read a lot about these two, but just minutes ago about the M+ update. Have I known a clean preamp was added to this, i would have skipped the Countess and bought the Kraken instead or a delay pedal. Still, this update might save me from getting a noise gate.

Looks like a great update. Have you tried a strymon iridium as a comparison to this latest update. I have an iridium which I primarily use as a pedal platform and am wondering if this could be a better option

What are the differences apart from loadbox between this and the captor X. I've noticed the captor X has double track feature, and this doesn't, so makes me wonder what else is different. I'm torn between the two. I'd predominantly use with just a preamp and no cabinet. But like the flexibility of potentially having a lunchbox valve amp with no cab for gigging as I use in ears from digital mixer. Obviously would save a lot of money with the cab m(+)

I was thinking of buying an X captor (550€)!! but I think it is more useful for me the captor m because in the speaker out output I can connect a resistor (load) equal to the impedance of my speaker and make silent recording. Besides, the X captor can't use it as a pedalboard platform and i don´t need stereo outputs for my Headrush FRFR 108

Cab mmmmmmm, based upon this I may have rang sweetwater up and picked up a unit.. I'm going ampless and at first didn't want something so 'complex' but honestly this will give me the 'silent' practice ability that I can also use to dial in my tone so that when I show up to rehersal or a gig I will sound exactly the same all the time, and I can shove it in my gig bag reducing what I have to carry.. I'm actually playing around with the idea of creating an 'amp board' that has the CAB MMMMMMmmmmm+ a couple of delays and a more ambient reverb so that I free up a few spots my my main board.........

Hey Andres. You use the time and modulation as the last pedals in the chain before the cab m+ or you could go after the cab m+. I would recommend trying both to see which you prefer. If it sounds good then it is good.

Cab Mmmmmmmm...... This *sounds* like something that would work for me. Newbie here, so if someone can confirm this for me I'd greatly appreciate it! 1. Can I go from my various effects pedals INTO the C.A.B. M+ INTO my Tech 21 Power Engine Deuce Deluxe Powered Cab (it's not a traditional amp, but more like an FRFR cab)? That is, does the C.A.B. M+ work similarly to a Strymon Iridium or Humboldt Simplifier? 2. Did I understand from this video that this would work the same for my bass guitar going through the same chain? THANK YOU! Can't wait for the follow-up videos!

IMO the le bass or le clean has more options and is more tweakable (and partly if not all analogue) but the CAB M * will get you very far!

I seeeeeeee. Sorrry dude, it’s a power amp emulation. I didn’t cover the basics of the unit as it has been done before and done well. There is no amp inside the cab m. For me, the speaker emulations are better on the cab m than on the helix.
