Some of the most important info I've heard about a bus build starts at 14;25. This is now my favorite, most informative video about bus builds.

I really enjoy that your tours are inclusive of follow-up questions such as, "What would you do differently if you had to built this all over again?" I also enjoy the style: the expansive intro that slowly narrows in on the subject and that the tour is told through the voices of the people who live in these unique spaces. Thank you for your videos.

Not only is this the best conversion I've ever seen, but it's the best video on the subject. Usually I'm on to the next video about halfway through the tour . Yours held my interest til the end. Good job guys. How do you handle your pups need for exercise?

Very informative and helpful .Most important is pick a good running bus ! Makes sense after all that time and work invested to have the bus break down .It was a pleasure listening to them I felt like company .They felt so relaxed and same time excited to share .He is very smart ! She was a great helpmate !

I remember seeing this when it was first posted. This couple is the most pleasant I’ve watched and answered so many questions I’ve had about building out a bus. Still one of my faves. I’d really like to see an updated video from them to see what, if anything, they’ve changed and just how they still like bus life

One of my pet peeves is when people make comments on what you spend on items. It's your money and you have to feel comfortable with what you're buying. Great video! I enjoyed watching it.

Nice setup! Gotta say this, IKEA seems to be the "Go-To" place for outfitting these bus-2-campers. Surprised they haven't contacted folks for advertising decals on the sides! Gotta love that "step up" for the toilet. Gives that "natural" position to make sure them torpedos shoot out at maximum pressure when ya fiber diet went out the window in lieu of Pizza!

Great bus, love the amount of solar power you have, more is definitely better when it comes to solar. I too prefer the school bus conversions, they have such sturdy manufacturing and underbelly storage. There's plenty of room for a bathroom, a big bed (my husband is over 6'), and lots of storage. I like that you've kept the second door, so many close them up, I prefer to have an emergency exit I can walk through, I'm clumsy enough to break something if I have to climb out a window! Your home is very welcoming and comfortable. Have a wonderful trip around the US.

People have paid $100,000 for a motorhome and had the engine blow up on the first trip out. I've been lucky with mine and I've never had a major problem. Water pump and master cylinder is all and I've been living in my 1988 36ft Gulf Stream, Sun Stream Hi Rise for about 25 years now. I've made many upgrades and renovations but I love my coach as much now as the day I brought it home. The only thing about a Schoolie is that it will always ride, handle and drive like a school bus. An motorhome is built to ride much nicer. But you have a great bus! Enjoy your adventures! Make gusto the basis of your life and your never going to be disappointed!

I am so proud of you two. I suggest you reach out to any organization or radio show to talk about how you do what you do and how you came to thinking way you do. I speak to many young people as I meet and great in the market, the Y or where ever I come into contact and sharing success stories of my self and others is of so much great value. Too many older people my age and older spend too much time complaining about the youth today and I reject them and correct them by always stating just how proud I am of younger people today. Be as creative as you can as much as you can and never think that you can't do the thing, whatever the thing is. All of you younger people are the future so grab all the ideas you can and take action. Believe in yourself and know that you are the only one you must please. Do what gives you joy and do not make the mistakes of many older people made settling for what society said you must do to be a success. True success is having joy in your life and the best way to get that is by doing the things that make you the happiest. Do not get a job or get into a career because someone else convinced you that is is a good choice. If you do that, then you join the many older people you are not at all happy because they are doing something in life just to get a paycheck but hate every moment doing it. Peace and joy to you all.

Thank you. Thank you so very much. I need every one of these videos that prove that, even if you don't know, you can learn and you can BUILD A HOME. -I'm a single mother that's been a SAHM for much of that "career" 💗 and I and my children have a story that all too many single parents (lots of moms, some fathers, too) "share", but maybe don't share aloud. Within that many of us don't know what we're made of. I'm testing that out along with my girls with the bus that, as of 3 weeks ago, sits next to our rental home awaiting a massive facelift. (I've got 4 ceiling panels down! Finally! 🙌🏽😅) I thrive on these videos and I have begun to experience the OUTSTANDING nomadic community already and... It's absolutely everything. No one ever got anywhere without another person and though I knew no one, hired no one prior to this decision, I now have 1,000 skoolie tour and build out tutorial videos at my fingertips as well as 50 people on average, on any given day that are more than willing to lend advice and SUPPORT. I have even met a couple ppl local to me that have lent, or are willing to lend, a hand in one way or another. I'm not alone for maybe the first time in my adult life and more people than I've ever communed with at any other point in my life say that I can do this, with 100% surety. Thank you for contributing to that. My daughters are depending on this and I couldn't do it without videos and people like this. Oh... And we hope to show others with a similar story that, when you think there's no way out, there is a viable, beautiful door that can open for you if you just reach for that handle. 🤞🏽 We really hope to support that community with all our efforts very soon. -Love and blessings to the two of you. Thank you for your upcoming service as a nurse and for the both of you being the forces for good that you are. 🌸

Super nice well thought out build! On the mechanical side of things I would suggest finding the largest transmission cooler you can and install it along with looking at larger radiator options. The best set up would be to use a transmission cooler and radiator from a semi truck that s built for abuse.

I love their attitude and they make a great team. They definitely put a lot of thought into their build. It is interesting that they came at the insulation from the aspect of keeping the bus cool rather than warm. However, from his description, I bet the bus is quite cozy in the cooler climates.

I see many van- and bus builds here on KZbin and some don't even have a shower or a toilet! 😱 Don't get me wrong, if those people are alright with it, then I will not argue the point, but it's not for me. Full bathroom, 4 flame cooker/oven and a washing machine/dryer are a must for us. Also a full sized fridge/freezer (not to forget that my wife needs a rocking chair! 😁). I'm all for minimalising, but your way is the way we're going to go too. I also totally dig the rustic style of your bus, the colour scheme inside and outside, everything! It's a dream! 👍🏼😉 "𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘐 𝘱𝘢𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨?" Another great motto! I was planning to get water and gas done by a professional. I'm pretty good at wood work and a learned electrician, so that part won't be a problem), but you're so right. We live in the age of information. Why not learn to do it yourself? Thx guys! You've been a real inspiration and I wish you all the best and loads of fun on the road! 🙏🏼😌

With the miles that you are running would suggest for your transmission to get deep sump oil pan, spin on filter kit, trans temp gauge, and aux trans cooler, this stuff is available through Allison, and most heavy truck manufacturers and aftermarket suppliers. Would also reccomend a retarder, probably a driveline electric style, on the 7.3 Navistar engine I would stay away from the exhaust style one, they develope head and valve issues. If you're in the mountains a lot may also suggest a 2 speed rear axle, if you have to replace or rebuild a 3rd member, it would be a good time to look into one. A good driveline shop would be able to install it, and reccomend gear ratios to fit your needs.

What area of nursing are you going to first begin building skills in? I'm sure you've done a lot of work on research. I've been a nurse for over 30 years but I never got around to travel nursing. You're going to have a great experience. If you start out in a VA facility you can transfer within the VA system from state to state.
