Great video and very handy tip. Funny that they test you completely differently than you will actually be doing it when you are working for real. I feel sorry if someone thinks a patient will wander in and give them four possible codes for their sickness (as if). LOL. Speaking of which I asked this on an older video but maybe you never saw it. It's too long to Twitter it so I'll ask it again here. Studying CPT I noticed in the modifiers section they list -91 as the code you use for Repeat Clinical Diagnostic Lab tests (for when a patient is being treated and the doctor wants to test them over time to see how well the treatment is taking effect or if at all). This wouldn't be for a repeated test because of a failure or incorrectly administered test, etc. Any way they say you would put the initial procedure code (without modifier) and then put a comma and repeat the code again but with the appended modifier -91. My question was how would you code third or subsequent repetitions of the test as time progressed? I assume they need to code it somehow in order to get reimbursement for each time they run the test? Would you simply add an additional procedure code with the same -91 modifier for each test run?

Phil Adams lol yeah I’m not sure why the entire exam is multiple choice, it’s much easier that way but oh well! I saw your comment and I’m slowly working through that one and a few other technical questions! Don’t worry, I will get to it!!!

Thanks . My online course is good but sometimes they assume we know everything or they don't explain things very simply and cause there is no teacher to go to we are lucky to have a resource like KZbin to turn to.

Hi, I love all your videos Kate. In this example I think you coded it incorrectly. If you under the K25 Gastric Ulcer category is list in the Includes stomach ulcer (peptic). I believe the correct code would be K25.1.
