As a drywall guy I watch alott if painters go over my work. But I’ve been getting better painting. I’ve noticed that the better quality tools you have the better your finish comes out. I flip homes as well. And I’m working on my third hole right now. And I’ve impressed myself as how goood I can cut it now.

Nice.... It's a good idea to use a mini roller to go over the brush lines after you've cut in.

Es…just watched another pro recommend the back rolling of cut ins because off the different texture (brush v roller) it can look like a different color at ceiling….

Every painter has their top quality of hand held brushes. You can have the best brush, but I really believe it’s how good you can cut in. I personally use Purdy brushes. This is just my own personal opinion. I’m not criticizing any company, or anyone.

Those are sash brushes, not for cutting walls. they leave gaps. when you use an actual wall brush , which is a flat brush, no angle, you get much more even coverage. You need a very good, 3 or 4 inch brush with fine bristles.
@vonmilash8232 жыл бұрын
As a painter, I often click on a video expecting to scoff. But I Cant knock anything in this video. I AM suprised you didn't spin your brush at the end tho. All that said, I don't like Purdy brushes. Good quality yes, but very limp bristles. Lately though, I've been using this little round purdy trim brush for tight spots.

@@AmericanPaintingContractor These brushes are mostly for exterior, they will leave roping, brush lines, use soft brushes. chinex bristles are super easy to clean, they are made for the paints that dry faster.

Don’t like angle cut sash brushes. With a twitch of the wrist a square cut can go back without flipping. Purdy no longer seems to stock brush racks with square cut sash brushes. They also discontinued the 4” XL Titan years ago. The only 4” brushes they sell now have sharp square corners on the ferrule which make it uncomfortable to choke up on. Economists are running design not painters. DIYers don’t want to spend money on good brushes or clean them properly
