Hopefully you are able to stay consistent with your plan. Your vacation every year seems like when things derail for you. The obesity struggle is so hard. I’ve been following you for awhile. Why do you think you need to drink a lot? I think you can enjoy and have fun without the alcohol. Such empty calories lead to temptations afterward.

That is a very very good question. It is impossible to lose and maintain your weight even with one drink. Alcohol spikes your hunger hormones making you hungry with craving for days after one drink. It upsets your whole system. Your liver is your weight loss organ. If she is drinking anything she will never be successful. I know, I had to learn the hard way and I learned by lots of research also. Very sad.

Summer is easier for me to stay consistent than any time of the year. It's so hot in DFW I just don't wanna eat. I've also gone dairy free which has gotten me to my lowest weight since I did hard-core keto in 2019. Lost 15 pounds in 6 weeks. Hope you are well Jess.

I think your approach now makes your lifestyle “doable “! I recently went on vacation and tried to do the basically the same thing. I was able to maneuver without any gain. I count that as success! 😍

Hi girl! SO glad I bumped into your video today. I myself have been struggling with losing weight for a few years now. Same thing as you, I’m in a roller coaster ride. I do have a few conditions I hope to reverse while doing keto (since it’s the only thing that have worked for me before). Today (7/8) is day 1 for me back on the Keto wagon and IF. You are doing a great job! I have discovered recently that the more muscle you have on your body the faster your metabolism is. So I have been lifting heavy weights in order to help me lose weight. I am 47, and I just started, so I don't know how long it will take, but it will probably take longer than getting the weight off using cardio. From what I am getting from the experts muscle burns more fat when you're not doing anything. So you are more likely to keep the weight off if you put a lot of muscle on. But if you lose by doing lots of cardio once you stop and your body gets used to the cardio you will regain the weight. I have the exercise part down but I do not have the eating part down at all. You are doing much better on that front than me. Summer is like a food party for me. I have been eating at Burger King a lot lately, having lunch there with my mom. Pray for me to get my eating habits under control. Anyway, you look great and you are so encouraging to me. God Bless You!

Weight Loss and Maintenance is not about calories, portion control, or exercise. It all about eating correctly everyday which will control your appetite, cravings and keep your hormones in balance. I learn all this at the age of 68 and now at 74 I am living the thin life I always wanted. I lost 130 pounds without hunger and have easily kept it off for 4 years now. Good Luck

It's usually B vitamins that cause nausea, and you need to eat them with food as they are fat soluble.

I don’t have the perfect system but it works out for me 🤷♂️ During my Mon - Fri work week, I only eat once a day (24 hr fast), eating wild caught Alaskan salmon + hard boiled eggs or a grass fed patty + apple cider vinegar water as my main and only beverage and taking berberine capsules during the fast. Weekends.. I kind of pig out lol I’m still losing lbs despite me pigging out on the weekends lol But I do notice that the fasting causes me to feel full faster when I do eat crap during the weekends. Otherwise I’ll eat nonstop. I’ve lost 12lbs in 2 weeks .

Calorie deficit. I have been doing low carb. I try to stay under 20 carbs on most days but if I have a day with 50 or even 100. I remind myself I’m still eating low carb. I’ve lost 7.5 lbs in two months. So I think it’s working for me. I’m trying not to stray too much from my regular foods, just trying to not eat all the starches as before.

I hardly ever gain- at most I maintain. PS If you consistently make videos Jess, you will be more accountable and would probably help with your 5lbs loss. 💪🏻💪🏻

Warning-- don't want to sound mean, but may I suggest more shots of different environments and activities, and less chatting....too much talking, and I find myself tuning out. Maybe you could show your girls walking and running with and your shopping trip or condense the chatting or do it as a voiceover. It may sound harsh but I'm trying to actually help. The long talks alway sounds like excuses and it gets old and makes it seem like keto doesn't work.

Why would you choose to over eat. Boy is she in trouble if she thinks wearing non stretching clothes will help. I have eaten the same way everyday the last 5 years vacation or no vacation. I have never went backwards during the 130 pound loss journey. If you are tempted to eat wrong then you are not eating correctly to start with. Good Luck

@@heatherhiteshew6305 Yes I can honestly say that after learning the secrets to weight loss, maintenance and good health I have eaten the same way everyday for 5 1/2 years. I can have a great time with friends and family while eating correctly everyday. For 50 years I would loose 50, 75, or more pounds maybe 10 to 12 times only to gain all back just like Jess tried to do. She lost 130 pounds and kept it off for ONE day. This time I lost 130 pounds and have kept it off for 4 years without gaining an ounce back. WHY, because I finally know how this all works where before like Jess I knew NOTHING. Let's Pray Jess gets' this figured out. It is definitely not hard. Knowledge is power. Good Luck

Maybe try a normal life style outside of keto so you won’t keep losing and gaining the weight back? I’ve lost 107 pounds healthy lifestyle with healthy carbohydrates in 10 months. The yo yo diets gets old.

She does. She’s tried lots of different stuff over the years and takes what she learns from each. I think the weight gains come from regular ol slip ups, no matter what way of eating. It happens sometimes. And congratulations on your weight loss. That’s awesome. I, too, gave up strict keto/carnivore although keto worked for me until it didn’t. Now I go mostly low-moderate carbs for the most part but still have whatever I want about once a week…I just balance it out with lighter carbs/calories the next day
