I have been using LMNT for years, and I was surprised when they sent me one of those boxes of sparkling water as a bonus. I found that the flavor I’ve become accustomed to with LMMT in my water was much less intense than what is in the cans. I had to dilute the cans by adding an equal amount or more of water, which is fine because one can would equal one day’s worth of water by volume. I might order them again occasionally, but I’m fine with just the powder.

I was watching you when you first started out as I was alao starting a similar health journey and also have ups and downs it is great that you have kept going no matter what and documenting every step of the way. I think it would be of value to have a idea of your long-term goal weight as to fill gaps in the process. Unless of course you want to keep that private. All good.. you do you❤

She had been one pound from her weight goal which I believe was around 179 pounds. Then she gained 60 back. This time she is more aware of how our own brain can get us in trouble. I for one, can’t have one of anything high carb. I start to think about it and then it’s in my life every day. My sister is a recovering alcoholic. She has been 17 years sober. She says once you take the first drink, you can’t stop. I have a problem with dairy and once I convince myself to go buy it, then it gets really crazy. I will eat it when I am not hungry and eat way too much. We have to take this one day at a time. Trying every day, or minute to eat only when hungry and not to overeat.
@davidadcock33827 ай бұрын
@@monicaambs The foods you choose to eat will determine your hunger levels. Weight loss was easy for me once I figured this out. If you never have cravings or get hungry weight loss is not that hard. Eating Wrong just once (having that first drink again) can lead to failure!!!

Hi Jess! I love your videos they are always so encouraging to me. I would like to know if you have always been able to do push ups even when you were heavier? I am 59, been keto since 2018, lost the weight but my muscles/strength is not there. I can not even do 1 push up or a sit up. What do you recommend me starting off with to build any strength? Thank you for all you do! 🤗
@julief60447 ай бұрын
Hello there! I am 60 and have been keto for 5-6 years like you. I cannot do a full push-up either. What I do is a rail push-up (we have them on our deck) and that’s a perfect height for me. Just step a few feet away from it, then lean into it so you’re at an angle and on your toes. A wall push-up or kitchen countertop will work as well. If that sounds confusing, google ‘wall push-up’. Start with 5-10 a day and work up from there. You will feel it the next day and see results soon😊

Hi Jess, thank you for all your precious work here on yt, I feel pretty motivated by your videos! I' am on keto for two years now and i try eating a little bit of protein in every meal i take ( usually one meal a day, sometimes two). I don't do high protein, because that spikes insulin to much. What do you think about that? I mean you are on high protein and also doing keto, isn't that a contradiction? Would like to hear your thoughts about that😊

@Jennieadams1979thank you for your answer, I wasn't aware of that. I don't use a device to measure ketones, maybe this would make sense😮

Awesome! Great video!! Grapefruit is my fav LMNT! Did you try the cans yet? I got them in the mail too and idk why lol! I do buy a lot from LMNT so maybe thats why. 🤷🏻♀️ they were way too sweet for me but my teenage athletes love them!!
@genevadouvier24737 ай бұрын
If you have done an LMNT subscription before that makes you an “insider”. They sent out a package to all of their insiders. They are too sweet for me as well but if you mix plain seltzer water with it, it is less sweet and is more hydrating (with the added water;)

I’ve only been doing keto for @ 3 months. I lost 20lbs in the first 8 weeks but nothing in the last month. Not cheating-if anything I’m eating less. No carbs,no sugar and trying to stick to lower fat foods. My question is how is consuming 1000 mg of salt at once healthy? Salt makes me bloated so I’ve always tried to keep my intake low.
@kathleenodonnell83558 ай бұрын
Keto is meant to be higher in fat. If you decrease carbs and also decrease fat, you will feel awful bc you basically have no fuel source. Also you are giving your body the signal that it’s starving thus no further loss. Please don’t focus on weight loss, but fat loss. Weight training is essential. All the best. ❤
@gaylejideofor61987 ай бұрын
the first glucose you metabolize is what is stored in your liver, then your muscles, then stored fat. This is all metabolized and flushed out through your kidneys. If you do not drink enough water you will feel sluggish and or have body aches. Yes the salt keeps your blood volume healthy, your kidneys healthy and prevents muscle soreness, stomach upset and is needed to replace the electrolytes in your body. Think of your nerves as your electrical system. nerves are everywhere even blood vessles. low levels of manganese, magnesium, potassium and others like zinc, are vital to your nerves. In fact your optic nerve health is directly related to zinc &will suffer from zinc deficciency. The first weight lost fast is water weight. you will slowly lose fat and the weight will come off in fat, not muscle if you eat enough protien and do something to keep your muscles strong. Do not go by weight alone. Take measurements. 160z of fat is not the same as 15oz water. so you will not lose a pound every day. If you do not drink you water, you may in fact slow the ability of your cells to flush the fat out. God bless your journey, Stay strong and Keto-On!
