I imagine that if the Shadow/Void was ever "eradicated" that the Light itself would undergo some violent cosmos-splitting super-event and just create the balance all over again.

I could see Turalyon being given a vison from the Light. Him and a few other powerful weilders of Light go to the Sunwell and pour their power into it opening a portal where the forces of the Light enter Azeroth. During the expansion we find out our saviours aren't as benevolent as we thought and now we're found in a pincer between the Light and Void.

That's exactly how I see it going down. I wonder how much the other Cosmic Forces might play into Midnight too. A lot of the forces have connections fo the Sunwell in some way. Was originally pure Arcane, corrupted by death when Arthas resurrected Kel'thuzad. The blood elves in TBC kind of siphoned Fel into into to simmon Kil'Jaeden through it. And we killed the Void Naaru Mu'ru in Sunwell Plateau and Velen used its core to re-invigorate the Sunwell with pure Light. I may be missing g something but it seems only life doesn't have a strong connection to the Sunwell.

5:20 I’ve been playing Townlong Steppes recently and I was blown away by how much it mirrors Ardenweald in so many ways. The types of animals, the trees, even the tree trunk bridges, but mostly the themes! The theme of an unnatural invasion - even some of the quests for shooting down the invading fliers, of “a shadow” turning friend to foe. Very curious.

There will be no defeating shadow only embracing It. You can shadowbox your "shadow" all you want, your shadow will be still there and you will be exhausted and defeated In the end.

I have a had a thought Pyro, with the release of MoP Remix and that expansion centered around the Sha and Y'shaarj. What if at the end of the War Within Xal'atath ressurects Y'shaarj fully? I came to this speculation because it is speculated that The Blade of the Black Empire was made from one of Y'shaarj's claws. So what if She is the Harbringer of Y'shaarj's return? I would say that would warrant the team up with the Army of the Light, as such an opponent is something we cannot face alone.

you can just feel the absence of ancient dieties on Azeroth that ruled a world completely astrange from the titanic and ordered world today. The impotent Mu'sha of today, the completely absent influence of An'she on culture's across Azeroth, the blue child of light and life... what happened to them, what did the titans to rhem ? did they imprison them aswell ?

Hey Pryo idk if u look thor all ur comments but i have a fishy feeling with classic cata an the retail saga starting (war within) seems like perfect timing to see the we see with the titans an the old gods. it just seems like perfect timming going from start to end dragon soul being very simmilar to the dark heart

Shadow is but a reaction to light. Only if Light is all encompassing there is not Shadow. From what we know of Light we definitely don't want that. Defeating A Shadow is possible but defeating the concept of it means destroying Light, something that Void is probably keen on. So in removing Shadow we actually serve the Void (probably playing into Xalatath's hand in the process)

I think you’re reading the light 100% correctly. They’ve made it pretty clear that unchecked, the light is exactly as aggressive as the forces of Fel/Chaos and Void

Banished is weird yea? Banished doesn’t mean killed, typically the void is vanished from reality at the moment. Anyways, it doesn’t take a lot of energy for them to even manifest him. Keep going man this is awesome .

People are really good at misquoting things. Metzen didn't say that we'd defeat the Void, he said we'd banish them from Azeroth forever. The Void Lords will continue to exist. I'm certain of that.

Because you can’t banish shadow forever without doing the same to light. The point is not to “get rid of” the “bad stuff” we don’t like. It’s to understand it and learn about how it balances with Light. Just destroying something because you don’t understand it is a very dumb thing to do.
