One thing that pastors and preachers seems to get wrong over and over again is the concept of tithing n the Holy Bible. The scriptures do not teach that each person must pay ten percent of their wage to the church or even to God. The Bible doesn't teach this concept. This belief is taught by heretics such as Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Steve Furtick, TD Jakes and other heretics in the Pentecostal and Charismatic church world. It's a modern myth taught mostly by false teachers and false prophets in order to deceive people into giving them money. I guarantee you that if you stopped tithing God would bless you with an extra ten percent. Even better give your "tithes" to someone in need and bless them instead. If the church stopped begging for money it would have a much greater impact upon the lost and unbelieving world then what it does now. People mock and laugh at the church because its all about money and wealth. The world sees right through it all. There are so many false teachers leading people astray and misusing the scriptures in order to fool the minds of the simple and get rich. Benny Hinn is a conman and has always been a conman. Same goes for Kenneth Copeland, Steven Furtick, TD Jakes, Creflo Dollar and even your own tithe teaching pastor. Its all about money. The prosperity gospel is a lie from the pit of hell. Flee from these false prophets and false teachers.

Tithing is nothing.We are in the great Deception, and even the elect will be Decieved if possible, according to scriptures. What we don't know doesn't get us in trouble, it's what we know for sure that really isn't True, that gets us in trouble. The fact is we live in the backwards world. Everything you were ever taught is a lie. Everyone on this plane existence grows up under Government. Govern = rule Ment= mental or mind. They have been ruling our mind since birth. The only thing we ever learn in life, is what we are taught by our parents, who were raised under Govern- ment. Then you go to a school, A govern- ment school. I mean you really have to, or your parents go to Jail. You have to be programmed. Next you watch public TV, In which they tell you it is programming, we will return to the programming after these messages. Operation mockingbird, a CIA psyop, that started in the late 40s, with subliminal messages and flashes of light, look it up. Scriptures says, All the Information that comes from man is carnal. Most of it comes from the experiences one has had, and that ends up being the knowledge, that He, or she, gathers up in his, or her lifetime. What a person believes has nothing to do with what is fact. Facts are absolute, anything else is false, and from the enemy, and a lie. Even the name Jesus is false. Fact: He was born A Hebrew Baby named Yahusha Bar Yoseph. Yahuah the Creator manifest Flesh. Scriptures clearly state, there is one name that you can be saved bye. That name is not Jesus. To deny Yahusha, and call him by a defiled name, when they know his correct name, is Rebellion. 1st Samuel 15:23 for Rebellion is as the sin of Witchcraft and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry, because thou Hast rejected the word of Yahuah, why he has also rejected the. Next Yahusha wasn't hung on an cross, he was hung on a almond tree. A sacrifice is not a sacrifice, unless it's done on an altar. A Roman cross is not a alter. The Mount of Olives is the Eternal altar of YAH. The budding almond Rod from the Ark of the Covenant. Was planted there by King David with the skull of Goliath. Which became the tree, Yahusha was hung on. The cross is a 4000 year old death symbol. It comes from Egypt, and represents the sun god Tammuz. Scripture tells us, Yahuah is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. So How could He Have Two sets of Rules, old and new Testaments?( Who Did Away with The Eternal Covenant? Isaiah 42:8 I am Yahuah; that is my name. I will not give my glory to another, ( who is Jesus?) neither my praise to graven images ( who is Jesus?) 1st John 3:4 (kjv) Everyone who sins breaks the law, in fact sin is breaking the law (Hebrew) He who sins transgresses the Torah, for sin is transgression of the Torah 1st John 2:3-4 kjv And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his Commandments. He that saith I know him, and keepeth not his Commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Isaiah 30:9 This is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of Yahuah. That would say to the seers, see not, into the prophets, prophesy not unto us right things, but speak unto us smooth things, prophesie deceit. Are you comfortable in your life? Are you where you need to be Spiritually? Do you know everything you need to know, to walk in Freedom and confidence through the coming events? Because the Rapture is a made up doctrine By John Nelson Darby in 1831 ALL lies. 2nd Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the Earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Upon his second coming, the heavens, and the Earth are destroyed. Where do all the left-behind people live, come on think about it. Are you Saved? I hear I'm saved, or he's not saved. I hear that all the time. When scripture says those who endure to the end Shall be saved. The end hasn't come yet. Who are you kidding? This Is a process, and this process, is a painful process. You have to start over completely. You have to process all this false information you have been indoctrinated into. Learning things that contradict everything, that you ever been taught. Fighting Cognitive Dissonance the whole time. And most everyone suffers from cognitive dissonance. Please look it up. It refers to the mental conflict that occurs when a person's core beliefs do not align, with new evidence that contradicts that core belief. It may also happen when a person holds two beliefs that contradict one another. Cognitive dissonance causes feelings of unease and tension, and people attempt to relieve this discomfort in many different ways. Anger is the primary defense. So when you mention, The firmament, or the flat Earth, your instantly A nutcase, when in actuality, they have the disorder of Cognitive Dissonance. They cannot stand to even hear it. Immediately they shut you out. We all know that rejection without investigations is the epitome of ignorance. But it's exercised every day, almost every time it's brought up. It starts early, let's take school, your taught that you evolved from a monkey, and that you live on a roundball flying through space. School, Public television (cartoons), NASA and your parents all, taught you we live on a round ball, flying through space at 666 million miles an hour, while you're flying around the sun at 550,000 miles per hour, while your spinning at 1069 miles per hour, that's a lot of movements for you to not feel one thing. The Bible is a flat earth book. Their are over 400 places in the King James 66 book cannon bible, that states somehow that the Earth is stationary, and does not move. The Sun and moon were made on the fourth day, what did earth revolve around until then!! Come on! You don't believe Genesis!!! If Genesis is wrong, then all Scripture is wrong. Scripture is the only truth, in this plane of existence. We do not believe our own eyes, and our own senses, or the holy scriptures, we believe what somebody tells us. Nobody can prove curvature, because there isn't any!! A simple Lighthouse proves there is no curvature, NASA says 66 feet of curvature at 10 miles, 6666 feet of curvature at a hundred miles, how can a 70 foot Lighthouse be seen for 30 or 40 miles, Google it. The stature Liberty is 300 ft tall and it can be seen for 60 to 70 miles at 60 miles it would be under over 2,000 feet of curvature. Water is always level, it doesn't bend. It can't be round guys, no matter how much you want it to be, because you've been taught that. It's a LIE, and if they can make you believe a lie that big, what else do you believe. Look around you ladies and gentlemen, how many people are wearing masks for no logical reason. Face it none of them are 5 micron masks, they give absolutely no protection. You cannot keep mosquitoes out with chainlink Fence! They are Decieved into doing respiratory, Heart, and lung Damage, to themselves, Because thier breathing thier own carbon monoxide, and bacteria. Unbelievable!! But 2nd Thessalonians 2:11 For this cause YAH (God) shall send great delusion upon them that they should believe a lie. Most everybody in this world worries about what other people think about them. And they don't even care about what the father thinks. When he's s the only one that matters. He knows your every thought, What makes anyone think they can hide anything from him. They lie, brag, put on thier masks ( not the physical ones everyone is duped into wearing) the image, or the portraital, of who they want people to think they are. People use their mouth, to say, I believe, I love the father. But do they show it? 1st John 2:3-4 kjv And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his Commandments. He that saith I know him, and keepeth not his Commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Saying it is one thing, how do they put it into action? Just pay attention to what they do, it doesn't match their words. I call it talking out both sides of their mouth. Scriptures say, For not hears of the law are just before Yahuah, But doers of the law shall be justified. Fear of Yahuah is the beginning of wisdom, proverbs 1:7 . Knowledge has nothing to do with wisdom. Wisdom is putting knowledge into action, and faith is a verb. James 2:18 Yea a man may say, thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works. Hope this is a wake-up call. Kdwarner5@gmail.com

*** IMPORTANT **** I brought Scriptures go a preacher a few years ago about We The NEW Testament Saints not required to Tithe and he called me a couple of days later telling me that; “ it’s best for the church if you don’t come back “ !!!! I thought to myself; best for the Church or for you???? Tithing in the form of money is a lie !!! The Saints have BECAME THE FIRST FRUIT…. Revelation 14:4 ( BEING THE FIRST FRUIT) James 1:18 1 Corinthians 16:15 and etc…. Another point, it’s NOWHERE IN THE BIBLE where the Church buildings have become the storehouse. Watch this; They call the building the storehouse but yet THEY DEPOSIT THE MONEY IN THE BANK ???? So NOW the PAGAN FINANCIAL SYSTEM has become the storehouse today ???? NO but you to tell a lie to cover another lie!!!! People we are to give a FREEWILL OFFERING out of OUR HOLY GHOST FILLED HEARTS . 1 Corinthians 15:45-49 The First ( Old Testament) is NATURAL and The Last ( NEW Testament) is SPIRITUAL. The Jews gave a natural tithe and we being The Temple of God have BECAME THE FIRST FRUIT ( Revelation 14:4; BEING …). Look at the fruit of the churches paying a carnal tithe in the form of MAMMON!!!!! People ; STUDY TO SHOW THYSELF APPROVED. Even when they go to Malachi 3:8 where it says will a man rob God ??? If you go back to Malachi 2:1 it plainly tells us ; Oh YE PRIEST this COMMANDMENT “ IS FOR YOU” !!!!!! It’s not for THE NEW COVENANT CHURCH. Even the poor, fatherless and widows DID NOT TITHE , why because they PARTOOK OF THE TITHE “ WITH “ The Levites !!! Deuteronomy 14:28-29; At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth ALL THE TITHE of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates: 29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) AND the stranger, AND the fatherless, AND the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, AND SHALL EAT and be satisfied; that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest. Notice with the Tithe , it was to be “ EATEN “ !!!!! Why are they putting MONEY in a basket every Sunday, calling it Tithes ???? Even in The Old Testament they Tithe ONCE A YEAR, but today they SO CALLED TITHE EVERY SUNDAY ????? See how it’s ALL A LIE !!!!

I am a disabled senior citizen now, but when I was younger and disabled, I played my guitar and sang at the church I attended. My singing was welcomed by the people. They loved to hear it and were blessed by it. But I was so far below the poverty level in my income that it was all I could to just give offerings. If I painted a picture and sold it, I would tithe on that, because it was "the work of my hands". And the pastor said that was acceptable. But then one day, he approached me and said that I could no longer sing on his platform in his church because I didn't tithe 10% of my SSDI/SSI checks and thus would bring a curse on his church. So with a heavy heart, I no longer played and sang at the church. Every week, people would ask, "Sister Cherie, are you going to sing today?" And I would have to say no. Eventually I received the "Left Foot of Fellowship", as it were, and I fell away from the Lord. Bad things ensued and I nearly lost my life in the process, but the Father found me and redeemed my life from the pit and I understand things better now. Thank you for this teaching, brother. I have heard it touched on before. And so many wolves parading as shepherds even twisting what Yeshua meant when He spoke of the widow who put in her 2 mites in the Temple offering giving her all.

@ishaqzamari 3 ай бұрын
@@brandonwhitfield1278 I assume you are referring to Paul’s words in Galatians 6:6, "Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches." This directive should be understood in the context of Jesus' instructions in Luke 10:4-8, where He sends out His apostles with the following guidance: "Carry no moneybag, no knapsack, no sandals, and greet no one on the road. Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house!’ And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest upon him. But if not, it will return to you. And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the laborer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house. Whenever you enter a town and they receive you, eat what is set before you." Paul’s exhortation in Galatians 6:6 should be interpreted in light of Jesus' teaching, which emphasizes the provision and hospitality extended to missionaries as they carry out their work. Jesus' instruction for the apostles to "carry no moneybag, no knapsack, no sandals" emphasizes the principle that missionary work is not a means for accumulating wealth. Rather, it highlights the reliance on God's provision through the generosity of those who receive the message. It is important to note that Galatians 6:6 does not refer to the practice of tithing. Instead, it addresses the mutual support and sustenance of those who are engaged in missionary endeavours, ensuring that they are accommodated and fed by the community they serve. Unfortunately, this scripture is misinterpreted and manipulated by pastors seeking financial gain. Such misinterpretations are cautioned against in 2 Peter 2:3, which states, "And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep." This verse warns of those who, driven by greed, distort the scriptures for personal gain, exploiting the faithful with deceptive teachings. A much-needed piece of advice for pastors who collect tithes under the pretense of a biblical mandate is found in Ephesians 4:28, which states, "Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need." This verse encourages pastors to engage in honest labor and contribute to the community's needs, rather than exploiting their positions for personal financial gain.

Wow. This is so Amazing. GOD is Good. Earlier today my friend and I was talking about Tithes and Offerings. When you Pray and ask God to Bless you with Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding. GOD will give it to you. Thank you for breaking down the scriptures. These Pastors scares us that if you don't return your Tithes and Offerings God is not going to Bless us. Wow. I am just Amazed. At my Church I return my Tithes and Offerings and unfortunately I became homeless. The pastor at the time, told me not to asked the Church for HELP Anymore. I have been going to that Adventist Church for 12 years, I couldn't believe that my pastor was telling me this. But I truly thank you for your knowledge on the Holy Scripture. I am going to Share this with my friends and family. GOD Bless you Eternally.

Carlos, I can respect that. And if you're doing that cheerfully then that is great. What myself and others are saying is that there is no command in the new testament to give 10%. There is a command to give as God lays on your heart and to do it cheerfully otherwise we do it in vain. And the big question is "Is giving to God the same as giving to a fund to keep the doors open and lights on for a building?" as many a preacher would have you believe. The bible says "widows and orphans" which is charity. I can be cheerful when I'm "free" to give as the Lord leads but I'm not cheerful when men say 10% tithe is required. And as a side note the total tithe added up to somewhere around the 23-24% mark when all tithes "were" taken into account in the "old testament". God be with you.

Tithing is under the Old Testament Law and the Bible says that if you place your self under one section of the law then you place your self under the whole law , and we know Jesus died on the cross to save us from the law.So you basically just told Jesus “I don’t need you,I am good enough I can go to Heaven with out you and your death on the cross “ Jesus and the cross is the only way to Heaven , you can not tithe your way to Heaven , and for a New Testament Christian to pay a tithe is a sin . as seen from someone who does not have a degree in Theology,but does have a Bible

It’s impossible for Christians to tithe today. What you’re calling tithing isn’t. The tithe wasn’t money and you’re not Israel so tithing doesn’t apply to you as a Christian. Study what your Bible teaches about tithing and then follow it.

Read Matthew 23:23; Luke 11:42 and Hebrews 7 :4-10. concerning tithes in the New Testament as spoken by our Lord Jesus himself. When Abraham tithed, his great grandson yet in the loins of his father was involved to receive the benefit and to be continued from generation to generation. When I was widowed, I made the mistake of telling my "pastor" at the time that I had a decent amount of life insurance left by my husband. Oh, there were so many sermons about how tithing was a requirement, and the widow's mite, giving. That money was supposed to help support me for my lifetime. It lasted 7 years, because that man manipulated me into giving literally thousands of dollars to the church. And very little of it really went to what it was supposed to. He lived a nice lifestyle. The Lord has taken care of me, though, even though I was deceived. And the next "pastor" was even worse, a liar, deceiver, and embezzler. It's truly hard these days to find a true man of God. This is why we must not be dependant on man's word about God's word!! I learned that lesson late in life, but I'm glad God has been so merciful to me!

I completely agree with this teaching, tithing is not a requirement for Christians. It's very important that you check your motives for tithing if you do tithe. Money is a worldly thing that can easily become an idol thus it shouldn't have alot of power over us this we are called to be cheerful givers. Eg So if you want to tithe with a motive in your heart of showing that money is not your god and Jesus and that you trust Him to provide for you something to tithe tomorrow then is then it is a well placed tithing. It comes down to the personal relationship with Jesus. Finally, Matthew 11:28-29 Jesus call us to free us from burdens not add them thus pastors who force believers to tithing are adding to burdens on believers.

I actually just look at the running cost at the yearly meeting and work out my percentage. If there is anything in the budget I agree with then I will put in extra for that. It works out to about $5 per week. I then give where I see a need but I do it myself rather than giving to the church..

One thing I've seen as a born again Christian, is almost every pastor/preacher I've come across that teaches tithing, is that they are adamant about it and you cannot tell them other wise. They simply do not want to hear it because of how they were taught, as far as I can tell or for whatever reason. To me, it seems so easy just to read the scriptures and put 2 and 2 together. Give from your heart as the new covenant tells us... I know many fellow believers who give more the 10% and they do not call it a tithe. They simply give gladly and generously.

The principle of giving as described in the new testament scriptures is 1) give out of faith 2) generosity 3) cheerful heart and 4) people who have dedicated themselves to fulltime ministry should be compensated. It is important to point out that "...For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin" (Romans 14:23).

About 30 years ago we were sucked in by the tithing doctrine. We sat under a national ministry and then we started to gather as a local group of believers. We were young in our Christian walk but our local outreach grew. We were "faithfully" tithing to the national ministry who knew we were reaching out locally. The head of the national ministry pulled me (not my husband) aside and came over heavy - not only should we be paying our personal tithe to them but also our local church tithe. Somewhat taken aback, I referred firstly replied that they should not approach me but my husband about this and secondly I answered them with my own question, "And where do you tithe?" The leader just replied, "It is none on your business!" And that is the crux of the matter..... BUSINESS! Doh...how on earth were we so blind?

Give yourself, your time your gifts, your talents and if your called to give to your local church do so, but not as a ritual, give it from the purness of your heart. God bless and keep sharing these truths till we see Jesus.

I was a part of an up and coming church in my area and prior to our first business meeting I had a feeling that the fact that I don't tithe would be an issue that was raised. Sure enough, it was. I felt it was necessary to tell my then pastor that I do not tithe to anyone so I wasn't robbing the church of a tithe. He asked me if I was fine with that and I said I was. He quickly moved on. The church ended up not working out due to other issues so I currently study with a group online.

I understand what your saying contextually. My question is if everyone stops tithing in a church however, where will the church get the funds/support to spread the gospel and keep the congregation running. That's kind of the the basis for a lot of churches when it comes to tithing nowadays, to spread the gospel even further, support the local community/city, and keep the congregation up and running. And the only way these things are possible is when we support the local church (at least the ones that aren't corrupt) with a tithe/offering of our income. Or should it just be called an offering?

Most churches are in debt up to their forehead and don’t have a parsonage for the pastor anymore. If we were still being persecuted and had to hide we would still be having worship secretly in our houses. We wouldn’t have multi million dollar church buildings to pay off. Money is not required to spread the gospel. In modern western Christianity only the pastor and elders are expected to spread the gospel. Western culture destroyed Christianity. The culture has become Christianity. I’ve seen first hand what it’s done to third world countries. We sell our technology and wealth as Christianity. When most of the world lived working to supply their food and clothing. Which the Bible says is all we need. The Bible also teaches nobody lacked anything because the wealthy would sell off their things and give to those who needed it. That is another problem. Unbelievers see churches as a way to get money and the poor in our congregations go without and suffer. We support the unbelievers and look down on the poor believer. I know because I’ve been in need and my own church couldn’t help me. Here in the US it costs an arm and a leg to be a Christian. Bible league can print a Bible for $4 to send overseas but we pay $50-200 for a Bible. I’ve seen some bibles selling for $10k online. Paul said to copy his letters and send them to all churches. Today you have to pay to receive the word of God. We don’t make disciples either. You want to study the Bible to become a pastor or teacher and you have to go into debt for tens of thousands of dollars. If we made disciples then we wouldn’t need to have seminary schools. The false religions do a great job discipline their people, which is why they convince so many people to follow them and leave the church

If it were required and as important to Father as it is in today's "churches" he would have commanded it... like in the 10 commandments. I do believe we should give and give generously, but he wants us to do it because we want to help, or provide, or be kind. He also states that when we give our right hand shouldn't know what our left hand is doing, (sorry paraphrasing) the shame process of the offering plate/ bowl doesn't allow for this and he'd never want anyone to feel bad about not being able to give one week because life happened... And even though prosperity preachers are not preaching the entirety of the gospel, I still believe Father would use what his opposition is trying to use to distract us. It gives a broader message to very diverse crowd which may have been the only exposure they would have otherwise ever received. I believe more people are waking up every day in their audiences and realizing the error in their messages. Thanks for your effort in uncovering to understand the intent of Father for he looks at such tasks with a great smile! Be blessed!

Brother, appreciate your zeal for God’s Word and the thoughtfulness in approaching this. It seems you’re saying that tithing is something requires only of Israelite farmers from the specific land of Israel. If the Law is addressed to the people of God, and the true Israel of God has expanded to contain all the nations of the earth, and the apostles/NT-authors give us a standard of application that seems to use the principles and apply them to new contexts, wouldn’t the tithe be expanded, rather than diminished in terms of what God expects of his people in supporting the household of God? That is, if God wanted unmuzzled oxen to tread our grain to be interpreted in the new covenant as a mandate to pay teaching elders for their work as teaching elders, couldn’t we similarly see that the Israel of God should apply this to support explicitly the Church?
@iThinkBiblically
@iThinkBiblically 3 жыл бұрын
Good question. First, not everyone was commanded to tithe, only farmers. So, at best your argument applies to farmers. Second, the tithe was not just for the priests. I think only 1% went to the priests. It was for the Levites and as I pointed out in the video the Levites did a large array of work including government work like judges as well as the musicians and worshippers at the temple (So, they should get paid a wage in the church under your view), the builders (who actually did the physical work) and so much more. The tithe was also used for the poor (a role fulfilled by social welfare in our nations). So, it becomes difficult to bring the entire tithe system over into the NT church. That's why scripture speaks about giving instead. That would be a part response. God bless.
@iThinkBiblically

Also, the text regarding muzzling the ox can at best be interpreted as a principle that those that work should be paid. That's what is happening with the ox, it is working and eating while it works. I accept that but what possible principle could the tithe system represent in the NT? At best you could say that the priests were given food, enough to sell for a wage, but they did not receive the whole tithe. They only got a small portion of it.

I have had to do the offering part in my church a few times and it can be a bit nervy at times, especially as someone who did not believe in tithing at all. I usually just say if God has touched your heart to give then you are free to do so, but I believe 100% in setting aside a portion of our income for the house of God and for the needs of our brothers and sisters which could be 5% 10% or even more. I gave a testimony recently about how God has blessed me financially over this pandemic period, while many have decreased financially I have increased in both my job and online business. And I believe it is mainly down to two things, I work hard, not for man but for the glory of God, and I give back financially to my church, and where the spirit moves me to. Giving is a blessing when done with the right heart and motives, Glory to God.

This is accurate teaching - thank you. I may also point out that another common misconception about the biblical, systematic tithe is that it was (and is) a form of giving. It wasn't. It was really a form of a tax, only it wasn't received from earned wages ever in the bible. Nothing required or compulsory can really be considered a gift or an act of faith and the ceremonial and civil ordinances that carried out systematic tithing under Mosaic Law are obsolete under the New Covenant.

My family just this week gave over 1,600 pounds of rice, plus Ramen noodles, Tang, candy and other food to three small villages in the Philippines. We fed 140 families, probably over 400 people, incredibly poor people, for at least a week. We gave $25 to our church. Do you think God is disappointed with that? There are many people supporting the church. If we don't do what we can for some needs, no one is going to do anything. Churches need to sit down and write out their budgets. If the light bill, the property maintenance, supplies, and the pastor's salary amounts to, say, $10,000 a month, and there are 500 members, then divide it up and set that number as a recommendation for giving. In that example it would be $20 each member per month. You could obviously give more to cover for those who can't give at all for whatever reason. When your church amasses wealth well beyond its needs, that money becomes a temptation for those in control of it. I wouldn't want to have more than about six months worth of emergency money in the church account. It's human nature when you see a pile of money to start looking for things to do with that money, things that money was not intended for.
