I love these type of videos. Consumers want to see how clubs perform against prior generations. Especially a Titleist loyalists like me that has had many of these iterations.

Thanks for watching. I bet you have been happy with Titleist drivers ever since the TS drivers came out and replaced 917 - Thomas

I love watching Drew and Danny swing because it’s more relatable for mere mortals like most of us golfers! I’m convinced Thomas is part robot. Golf is a game of managing your misses and Thomas does that like the pro that he is. Awesome stuff guys !

How is a 115MPH swing speed more relatable to mere mortals? Average am has a 95mph swing speed…115 is tour level speed…

Appreciate these videos, adds the human element. In our data-driven age though a machine comparison (eliminating different swing speeds, smash factors, launch angles, etc.) would be helpful (since smash factor 1.50, COR 0.83 are rule restricted). My opinion is that the larger sweet spot every generation is the biggest improvement.

Don't get me wrong, love that the technology is helping produce the optimal spin numbers, launch angles, increased speeds as well - but guessing that seeing the numbers off a machine might not be a great marketing tool (if the gains are only marginal - meaningful for pros, perhaps not so much for weekend golfers).

All of those drivers are good. I game a 917 D3 and it's legit. Mishits are unforgiving. That is the only thing worth complaining about. I will definitely make the switch to TSR 3 when they come down to a reasonable price.

Maybe I'm reading the graph wrong? To determine the best driver in a group isn"t it typically the longest and straightest? I mean if you look at distance compared to deviation from the center line it certainly looks like the TS3 has it? In these driver bracket showdowns they typically use that formula to determine a winner. 300 yard drive that's 20 yards left = a 280 yard drive.

I think I've hit a few longer bombs with my 913 vs my TSi3. But the TSr3 is on order. Can't wait. Love the deeper, more solid sound.

@@2ndswing TSr3 was great today. Hit my longest drive of the year and didn't even need the assistance of a cart path. Just as accurate and forgiving as TSi3 but faster out of the middle. IMO shaft and driver optimization is essential. I'm playing TSr3 9 in the D4 setting with Ventus TR Black at 46 inches without the 8g sliding weight. I choke up on the grip between 1/4 and 1/2 inch for a counterbalanced feel. My previous TSi3 was 45 1/4 inches always gripped at the base which felt heavier. I do miss the high-pitched metallic ring of the TSi3. Reminded me of the sword fights in old school Kung Fu movies. But the softer thud of TSr is smooth and quiet confidence. Conclusion: TSr3 is a noticable improvement over TSi3 but optimization is key. Enjoy.

I find it funny that all these websites jump right on testing out all the new drivers when they come out, but do it with someone whose swing speed is tour-like (110mph and above). Yet, according to every statistic I’ve read, the average male amateur swing speed is around 95mph…would be nice to see folks have someone on their staff with that kind of speed to get something we can relate to…watching and see stats from someone with a 115MPH swing speed is useless to most of us…but I do like the work you guys do…just wish is was more relatable.

Thanks for the comment, Pete! We are working on this exact thing...expect to see more testing with an "average" swing speed in the future. We appreciate your support and feedback!

About 2mph faster ball with tsr, but only .5 mph faster club speed. Hitting 1* less up on the tsi3 vs tsr3 would be the difference in launch and spin wouldn’t it? All in all looks to me like the tsi3 was the better club correct?

The ball speed increase for only 1/2 mph club speed is impressive. Attack angle can influence the spin and launch absolutely - Thomas
