There is a key bind to copy and paste, if you want to copy the entire frame you can just do Ctrl+C and then the next frame Ctrl+V This is a really useful feature so me because I have scenes where the entire frame gets taken up and I don't wanna trace it cuz I'm bad at tracing.

Hi. Suppose I have a walk cycle of eight frames and I want to copy them and paste them to the following eight frames and so on. How do I select the first eight frames all together? Great tutorials. I have used Corel Move 5 up to now where you just take the walk cycle (previously saved) from a library and the character will go on walking until you tell it to stop- Thanks!

Hi! I've been working on this and I have come up with the following;- You can build up a library of different movements /facial expressions such as blinks of lip movements by drawing the movement (in this case the walk cycle) - say eight frames. You then export this as a movie either AVI or mp3 which can then be imported in the place you want in the animation. If you want to repeat the cycle just import again from the following frame. You could export as an image sequence but as a movie the library can be made up much more easily.

You must be pasting it in the same frame. If you are doing so then First select the object and click copy Then move the object to different location And click paste

Make sure to have a Selection (dotted line rectangle), then paste into that. Works fine.

That's not a feature in this program. You could rotate it in another program, then import the rotated image.

Personally, this tutorial (and all of them) would work better if you stepped through an actual project with people. For example, if I import a piece of free clipart or a person I've drawn myself, how do I turn that into an animation? So far here I've learned how to draw circles and a stick figure doing nothing realistic. If that's not your thing, can you tell me where I can find it?

Hi Laura. Good question. This video is part of a tutorial series. The first few videos cover the basics, but later tutorials do get into exactly what you're asking about, importing clip art and stepping through the actual process of animating it.

little late, hope you still see. I had the same problem. When you paste the image in the next frame, hit enter. Then it stays there and the previous frame should stay the same. Let me know if it worked!

the blue box is just the tool, to copy paste you use that tool and put it around your character then ctrl c, new frame, ctrl v, it will remain in the same spot unless you move it, if you want to move it you have to press Q (select) again and then move the imagine

This is great for a free program. I am guessing there isn't the 'library' function that Macromedia/Adobe Flash had? That was invaluable. Also, is there a way to 'smooth' lines after you've drawn them, which those other programs also had?

Ugh... I've found it at last: After selection, change to M (move tool) then press (CTRL + Drag Left/Right) INSIDE the selected box: Left rotate anticlockwise, right rotate clockwise. ( Improved last build of February). More: discuss.pencil2d.org/t/selective-rotation/1129
