I met Pritchard Colon after he won a fight at Barclay's. He was saying hello to the fans in the stands, I yelled at him and he jumped the seats just to get to me. Still got that picture with him, and I cry or try not to when i see that or see this. I'm a boxing fan to death, and there are risks and rewards, so I know the pain these guys go through. One love to all!

@@yaitzaeniddiaz8070 unfortunately, I think the miracle was him surviving the hemmhorage at all. They had to remove some of his brain to stop the bleeding and swelling. He will never be the same again. Williams may be extremely regretful now, but in the moment it was nothing but unwarranted brutality. He knew he had won and kept going from the adrenaline and gratification of defeating his opponent. Something that I think will haunt him for the rest of his life. The ref should have been locked up a long time ago for allowing it to continue as long as it did. The ref is there to save a fighter who cannot save himself. They should be thrown behind bars.

He's absolutely right. Boxers, mixed martial artists, and any and all prize fighters are chiefly fighting for a livelihood, the titles, records and recognition are just a means to an end for larger fight purses to make sure your family will never have to worry about money again. And that's why the Prichard Colon story is so heartbreaking, he never got the opportunity to make that big purse, and he sacrificed so much of his youth, body, and mind.

I didn’t like wilder after all the excuses he was making after losing to fury, but now I have a new respect for him. This is a dangerous sport and people watching from the outside calling these guys bums is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard. They put their life on the line every time they get in the ring and we have the audacity to call them bums.

Totally agree. While I sometimes favor one fighter over another and don’t always like some fighters for their antics, personality, or whatever, I always give them my respect for stepping into the ring and being warriors. Same with Wilder. I didn’t care for his excuses and rooted for Fury but still highly respected Wilder for everything he’s accomplished and for laying it all out in the ring.
