I really appreciate that you show the beginning basics no matter how many times you have shown it in other videos. There are many other creators that go "just start by doing ____" but don't show themselves doing it. I'm more hesitant to do something if I am not 100% on how it should be done. 😩 You make it perfectly clear each time.

As a BEGINNER…I just completed my very first coaster…surprised myself crocheting in the round…to make the Sunrise Coaster..using a variegated “Hobby Lobby Crafters’s Secret cotton “…no mention of final finished coaster size but my coaster size …from fin edge to fin edge is 6”…..and I have 10 fins…not 12! No matter I love it! The instructions were great…camera angle great …and the teacher’s voice easy to follow. This coaster pattern was perfect for a beginner…increasing with DC stitches…and making a fin! SO happy to have found this coaster design and crochet teacher!! I will now look for the Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton yarn… maybe it is not as loosely woven a cotton yarn as is the Hobby Lobby cotton yarn.

I'm about to start a couple temperature blankets for my kids' first year of life. I haven't crocheted in several years, so I wanted to make a few small things just to get back in the groove before starting the blankets. This was the perfect little project. I'm going to order some of the 24/7 yarn for the blankets, but I used some cotton yarn I found at Walmart for this. It came out so pretty! I can't wait to try the 24/7 yarn. I've only ever used twisted yarns in the past, so I'm really intrigued. I'm hoping it's softer than what I just used. I struggled to find an all natural fiber that had enough colors to choose from so I could get the "perfect" colors for the blankets. So I'm about to drop a few hundred $ on a yarn I've never felt 🤣 Lord let me like this yarn!
