Issue Number One for me EXPENSIVE for what you get. The Questionable QC for a 1st Party Name Brand release is next, especially for the PRICE I expect PERFECTION.

Fair verdict. I do agree a toy with this price tag should have those technical issues like tolerances in joints and pegs fixed. But I can bet you the combined mode will be even worse... since obviously this thing made a lot of sacrifices in the bot mode for the accuracy of the train model due to the train license

Putting them into the mp line and pricing them at 150$ per figure is honestly an joke on takaras part and really shows how little they think of their target audience. The size and engineering on this is something you would expect from a 40$ mainline figure and not a "high end" collectible. I really can't imagine why anyone would even consider buying this.

While these are cool looking, I'm still more partial to the Moon Studio releases... and that's not to dog on this set. For me I like more the robot aesthetics of the other and I also love how clean the combined mode is... either way for collectors though, whatever ones choice is, you win! =)

The train modes are the best things about these horrid things and that's not saying much. Buy a cheaper and much better train set for those modes and the Moon Studio set for everything else.

It's probably about making the trains as accurate as possible (which is a big thing for this set). Trains run on different gauges of tracks. This train not fitting on its own tracks however is pretty poor though.

I’ll be the first to say the combined mode looks like trash. Having said that, it’s a little unfair to compare it to MP-10. I think they should be compared to something like MP-18 because the scale on the Trainbots is supposed to be similar to the Constructicons. The MPG are my preferred bot modes for the shelf. Moon Studio is my combined and alt mode choice.

Maybe we got this wrong. Maybe MPG is a new scale between Masterpiece and Legends....... or maybe they need to start drug screening at Takara......... The Moon Studios is in a whole different category. As MS may or may not be Zeta, do you think they'll do a "Metallic" repaint like Zeta's Bruticus and Superion?

Even if it's a new scale that's different than MP, why does it cost as much as MP? I think that's the problem with this whole line, priced higher than the 3P set which is bigger and better

Umm. The combine mode gun can act like a bazooka for robot mode. Just collapse the combine mode handle and flip out the smaller one. It even shows it on the box. Also, I do not agree with you PoS review. You got a lot of info wrong. Those are not clear painted panels. Those are solid plastic with clear insurts for the windows so no clear hinges. Also, the Trainbot mass shifted in the cartoon so they are in scale with MPs in robot mode. Please do you research before making a review. Disliked your video aswell.

That backpack parts-forming is outrageously bad/lazy from Takara, and zero need for it either. I'm getting more frustrated with each release for this MP-G line.

I've got the Moon Studio version of this guy...and this one SUCKS. Moon Studio blows these out of the water.
