better federation, and if they had an intl-quality keeper, they probably would have prevented at least 2 of those goals, and won. I still think Germanys defense isnt prepared for the duo of Banda/ Kundananji, and zambias going to put at least 2 away. it will all depend on how 'on' the german offense is, though I still expect germany to win bc its do or die for them too actually, if they lose to zambia im pretty sure itll be a 3 way tie and after tiebreakers theyd be in 4th place😶

I really appreciate you guys taking a nuanced position on the drone scandal. Everyone seems to forget that the Canadian women’s team has been battling their federation over a litany of issues for YEARS now. It feels like the system that’s supposed to support their success has tried to impede them at every step and this is like another nail in the coffin. I don’t disagree that they would unknowingly gain an advantage, but it just sucks.

I think its important to the fairness of the tournament that Canada still played their games, bc if kicked out it would unfairly advantage the 3 teams randomly drawn into group A over those in B and C... those other 3 teams would then comparatively have more rest, fewer injury vulnerabilities, less chances for card accumulation, etc. I also think letting the players play these 3 group-stage games like they earned the right to do makes sense, while their ability to advance (and I suspect we might see a further penalty) and gain prestige for their federation has been restricted... it seems like a fairly saavy navigation/ruling, although I do also think they need to consider if NZ deserves 3 points for that head-to-head as the team who was specifically transgressed against.. but I dont know what that would require in terms of applying that to a game already played🤔

QUESTION-- How do you guys see Mia Fishel fitting back into this team now, with how quickly the front3 line of Rodman- Smith- Swanson is gelling? we are still missing a large aerial presence esp on set pieces (Horan needs to stop taking them and be a target), and I think Mia is an important answer for that, but am wondering how this plays out, esp for 2027... in my mind Id like to see Horan transition to an assistant coach, Mia at the 9, Smith a paired false 9, and then shift Rose slightly back to the 8... its wild because whats going to happen with Fishel, Macario, Shaw, and Croix all in the mix?? and thats not even considering other players that might emerge in this time..
