I'm so sorry. Parents quit teaching and then the schools did too. My son was raised with respect and administration for any and all military personnel and LEOs. So sad that they will never truly know the whole history of our country. I appreciate you and what you did for our country. There is no way I could ever begin to say thank you enough. Please know there are people out there that truly love you and that we do know what you did and we can't be any prouder of you and your brothers. Thank you again and I am so sorry that these little snots have no clue

@@aliciaedmondson7641 Thank you for your kind words. I am a Vietnam Veteran & it took 25 years before anybody said “Welcome Home” to me. And if I mentioned PTSD, people acted like I was a leper. During the Vietnam war, good soldiers were betrayed by gutless politicians; the war was run by a bunch of four star clowns who wound up giving the whole circus away. I am a grumpy Vietnam Veteran. Dark humor, biting insults & sarcasm are my coping mechanisms. Fighting in Vietnam ruined my outlook on life forever, hell it ruined my life forever. The freedoms you surrender today, are the freedoms your children will never know existed. Conflicts are for pussies, real men fight wars! But, we are raising a generation of wimps! Can you remember who you were before the world told you who you should be? I say again. The Gen-Z wimps will be the downfall of the America I fought for & some of my buddies died for. Have you seen their asinine videos of them saying, I’m not going to go if I get drafted? HA! Dodging the draft is a crime punishable by 5 years in prison and/or a $250,000.00 fine, let’s see how they’ll laugh that off. Thank you again for your kind words, it’s nice to know there’s hope out there. 🎖💜♠️🪖🇺🇸

I am a proud U.S. Navy veteran, served from 1963 to 1967, during the Vietnam War era. The following incident happened at least twenty years ago on Veterans Day, which would have made me around sixty years old at the time. I was exiting a Hess gas station in upstate NY, while holding the door open for an elderly woman, and maybe because it was Veterans Day, she asked me if I was a veteran. I nodded, and she replied with “Thank you for your service” My response was “Well, I didn't do much, I'm not combat veteran” and she came back with “That doesn't matter”. To me, it did matter, most of my fours years was on the USS Wright (CC-2), a ship whose home port was in peaceful and safe Norfolk, Virginia. While halfway around the world thousands of my military brothers were putting their lives on the line. Here is the sad reality; over 58,000 of our American heroes were killed, in addition there were 766 POWs, and 114 of them never made it home, for they died while in VC prisoner of war camps. Shame on us if we ever forget to honor those brave American souls. Two Footnotes: 1. The price of gas at the fore mentioned Hess station was $2.30 per gallon. 2. July 18th, 2015: DT “John McCain is only a hero because he got captured, I like people who didn't get captured”. SOB

Thus, ever since then, Veterans Day events always begin at 1100 Hours on the 11th of November. 5.21.2024 Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. What not to do on Memorial Day? Don't wish anyone a “Happy Memorial Day” This is not Christmas - Memorial Day was not founded in joy with the promise of bringing glee each year. ... Don't thank the current troops. ... Don't disregard its importance. ... Don't forget it exists. ... Don't let politics keep you from rendering respect. // This day is our day of Remeberance for all of the men, women, young men who have gone before us in Battle to fight and keep Our Republic, the United States of America FREE from tyranny. To Aide all people around the globe to bring them Freedom and Liberty. Millions of our men and women in the military are gone now, who fought wars here and abroad. Let us never ever forget their sacrifices and what they fought for. "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." (John 15:13) Memoria De valens vivat tamque vestry("Your Memory Lives On") Requiescat in pace Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. +

Charles Michael Province, U.S. Army, wrote the poem: It is the Soldier, not the minister Who has given us freedom of religion. It is the Soldier, not the reporter Who has given us freedom of the press. It is the Soldier, not the poet Who has given us freedom of speech. It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer Who has given us freedom to protest. It is the Soldier, not the lawyer Who has given us the right to a fair trial. It is the Soldier, not the politician Who has given us the right to vote. It is the Soldier who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, And whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protester to burn the flag.
