How could the dog make it to the 28th floor without appearing on a camera? Why would the building management refuse to cooperate? So they would have time to remove any images of Heidi which also removed the dog. They missed one.

I no longer watch Dr. Grande's videos----like I used to that is. I'll explain. I used to watch them at night after work and dinner and chores done, etc. My way of relaxing after a crazy day in the medical field! But then I found I was getting really bored with my exercise routine, which is 30 minutes every day on my stairstepper right after work. So I moved my stairstepper into my tv room and started watching these videos while i work out. Wow, the time goes by like a minute!!! I watch a current one, and then an older one and I'm barely aware I've done a full workout. Thank you Dr. Grande. You are keeping me healthy!!!

So, my theory is that the Jason guy convince her to be his "name lender". I mean she allowed him to put the company to her name in exchange she got a nice town house, car, and all that. When the authorities started to look into Jason's businesses and fraud schemes he got agitated. Maybe he talked to Heidi all stressed out to tell her what to say when the police eventually interrogated her. She got nervous and stressed out because she was not aware of the shadyness of the whole situation. The stress exacerbated her mental health issues. She got paranoid and started having unusual behaviours. I guess the Jason guy considered her to be a loose end and... did something about it ;( I don't know anything about this case other than what's on this video so there must be some evidence to refute this theory. Poor Heidi and her family 😔 Thanks Dr! 🙏🏼🤗

I think Heidi was lured into the apartment building where her dog was found by somebody she knew through her bosses. IMO, her bosses were getting found out about their shady dealings and needed to get to her before the authorities did. She knew too much and prob knew the most about their shady dealings. Hi, I have followed this case closely out of concern and as I live near her. Her townhouse is in Palms, which is considered the 'Westside' in Los Angeles parlance, being West LA, Venice and Culver City adjacent. The most recent reports are that she had a connection to someone who could provide her with Adderol who lived in that downtown building. She left her dog at a person's apartment to petsit on the 28th floor. The seller of the drug was having a party of some type when she went to pick up the Adderol in the late afternoon/early evening. She was most likely there when she met with foul play and some person(s) disposed of her body. The mental health issues were far behind her and it is not thought she had anything to do with the embezzlement. Her boyfriend in S.F. is a 'solid' guy. There is most likely a lot of info.the P.D. knows and is keeping to themselves. Please return to this case when more is known. Thank you. I have felt horribly about her son. I am glad he has their beloved dog. He is now living with his father and stepmother.🙏🏻

If that were true the police would have already interviewed the dog sitter and everybody involved in that apartment , level or building , I don’t think that is the answer , I think more luckily blackmail or money is involved

Yes, that sounds right. However, the authorities are not revealing any of their interviews, etc. With all the nefarious elements surrounding this case, it will be very interesting when they make things public. For awhile it even seemed like the ex was involved, but not now. The obvious would be her work connections. It's been so incredibly hush, hush, and I am so curious as to what actually happened and why they are keeping so much evidence quiet.

@Jedi Bunny, no, I haven't and it's really odd. There is an article you may have seen from 4/22 in Los Angeles Magazine online with no real new info. I don't know if you read that she may have had a connection at the downtown apartment where she got Adderol. There may have been an accident or foul play there and the police were searching a garbage dump site. It's mentioned in the article. No idea if they have let it go 'cold', but I would think not. Quite disturbing, huh?

I am still following this case and it appears to be very complicated with all of the characters involved. There are a few people out there that have a story about a party in that building going bad. And that she died (was killed?) and they put her body in the garbage chute, hence the search at the landfill specifically for trash collected from that building. It is said, that there was forensic evidence in the building (trash chute?) of her demise. I do not think we will know much until the FBI and LE untangle this web she was in.

Those manic phases are terrible. I’ve only witnessed - but seeing someone you care about get totally out of sorts to uncontrollable for several hours or even days - it’s very difficult. The only thing worse is the depression that follows - I’ve known more than one person attempt and/or complete suicide after a manic phase. When they are acting “normally,” they’re not suicidal at all, but when those brain chemicals crash, they just can’t see a way out. I would love it if mental health and taking care of one’s mental health was an everyday conversation - not about the old assumptions but of factual, medical information and a solid way of managing related emotions.

Classic LA. But poor lady. I saw a comment down below that said she might’ve gone down the trash chute in the building where her dog was found on the 22nd floor. Hmmm. I’m going to Google this story … thank you, Grande. I listened to this story over and over as I drove home through parts of Los Angeles county.

This is why, when a mental health patient appears at the hospital they should not be allowed to”sign themselves in”. If there are grounds to involuntary commit and there is any question if they will cooperate with treatment, a court commitment is in order. Hospitals like to avoid court commitments because they are time consuming. Allowing a dangerous person to signin in voluntarily is just lazy sloppy medicine. Since they are not court committed they just as voluntarily “sign themselves out”. The hospital has no right to hold them

DR. G, a little off-topic, but a recently developed Ancient Rome fascination compels me to ask you (my favorite doctor), “Can you analyze the life, death, and personality factors that may be at work in the very corrupt emperor Commodus, Caligula, or Nero?” If you enjoy this comment, please love it, subscribe to this great idea, and consider supporting me in my curiosity. I hope you found this request to be more convincing than a non-Dr. G-themed request. Thanks for considering!

The big problem with that are the sources; they oten embellish or lie or are written well after the time period. Way too sketchy. If you want some reliable views by a Historian ck out The History of Rome series by Mike Duncan on KZbin.

Wasn't the dog found in a building where Sugarman or someone associated with him lived? And there were several security barriers requiring codes that the dog had gotten through? It seems to me like she went to meet someone and took the dog along. Then someone killed her.

Yup. Somebody definitely lured her into playing a very dangerous "game" with them, knowing her proclivities for secret agent type "stuff". She thought of the meet up as alluring and somehow safely dangerous, as the people involved had given her the sense that she was a part of the "team" and they would look out for her. She took her dog out for his needs while she was there for the meet up and felt very safe. Unfortunately all she was to them was a pawn. She served her purpose and then they disposed of her is a disposed of her. How easy to put a dog on an elevator or stairwell and it gets out where it gets out. I hope she rests in peace. She surely played out of her league.

Perhaps she knew a little too much and someone involved in the strange biz offed her to keep her quiet. She may also have been receiving hush money and that explains her posh living style? Someone killed her because Heidi was going to reveal criminal acts or because the source of the hush money didn't wanna keep paying her and having the threat of Heidi potentially revealing their criminal behavior? Just speculating about what could be happening in a case like this...
