Sir Mix Alot's single is really what got big butts to be a growing trend in music. In the 1990s, people like Pamela Anderson and Kate Moss were held as the biggest beauty standards. They are stick thin with no ass, even if their buxom in the chest. Even Lil Kim, the closest thing the 90s had to Nicky Minaj, isn't really curvy or has a big butt
@dangernoodle99615 жыл бұрын
@Cara Marais it's not just skinny girls. It's anybody that doesn't have a big ass and small waist. If you have a big ass but also a huge stomach, nobody cares. And I, as an extremely average-looking person with a general hourglass shape but a mediocre at best ass and smaller boobs, have struggled with my body image since I went from a twig to kinda chubby in 5th grade. If people are mean to you because you're skinny, it's because they're jealous. I know it's a cliche phrase, but I do actually mean it, because I've been jealous of impossibly thin girls for years and fell into the trap of tumblr thinspo when I struggled with an eating disorder. Lots of people will be insecure that their thighs or stomach are too big and then bully a skinny girl because it makes them feel better about their body that they actually hate. I'm guilty of complaining about a "skinny bitch" on TV that was eating cake because I was so frustrated that some people could look like that and still be able to eat sweet things and a girl that was super insecure about being skinny got upset about it. Understandably so. But it's really hard for us naturally big people who struggle with body image to deal with the fact that there are people who don't have to punish themselves to be thin. So, this was a really long rant, but basically, trust me, there are many guys (or girls, depending on your preference) that are into skinny girls, and plenty of girls envy skinny girls to no end, including me.
@DR-545 жыл бұрын
@Cara Marais Hey lad if you trying to get the thickfit, don't worry about the gaining weight part, just do exercises as you see fit frequently and include stuff to work out your glutes as a priority, over time shit will get bigger but there's one thing about standards Nowadays in porn if you look like a teenager (so pretty much just be flat and attractive) you'll get paid big bucks, that's because men still love them as much as anyone else, because in reality things they're attracted to are just multipliers DURING SEX and isn't binding outside of it at all. How about the biggest factors about beauty? These biggest factors you might ask? These are actually the hair and clothing, eyes are naturally beautiful don't worry about them, guys will tend to ignore acne if you have healthy skin, just find your style of hair, find a style of clothing you feel compliments you the best, and roll with it. That's what's attractive in a person other than personality, and quite frankly, a man who turns down pussy because of a flat ass ain't really a man.
@DR-545 жыл бұрын
@@dangernoodle9961 It's simple to get the infamous big ass small waist without the belly, you just need to get fucking ripped and get some damn powerful ass legs and if you're able to be a dom without trying then you've likely far surpassed the point you aimed for and now you're super healthy. Use your insecurities to your advantage, what I've always done, I was depressed and ate a lot so I ate less and started going out more and now I'm simply more depressed but I'm healthy now, was always insecure about my strength so I went out and became super-flexible and acrobatic to make up for it, now I'm not at all insecure about my strength or weight. Letting an insecurity control you is how you end up with image disorders, I had body dysmorphia because of the little area that protrudes and then stays constant with your body right above the pubic area, that made me think I was fat and then I saw from a side view and still thought it, what did I do? Nothing at all and fought it because I reached a healthy BMI, now I'm actually quite healthy at this point. Exploiting yourself is how you improve yourself.

This is very late, but something I’ve had the unfortunate situation of realizing over the last few years, because of her videos and what she presents: Nicki Minaj is a sci-fi nerd. There’s no way around that. Starships opens with her beaming down in TOS style and uses the radio sound from Gundam. This song’s leak video used MST3K and the official one has sets that look like they’re straight from Dr. Who. The woman is a nerd, but that’s not her public persona, which irks me. Just once I want Nicki to bust out that awesome anger on something that really interests her or drives her up a fucking wall.

I think some of the lyrics are played for sarcasm. I don't think she hate skinny women. I think she was using that line for exaggerating on how big butts are such a big deal. Idk if it's mandala effect but I recall watching a documentary were she said it was just to keep her name relevant. The rest of the album was just not even close to being anaconda.

Is it weird that I don't actually have a problem with this song? It's a guilty pleasure but when it devolves and that laugh, it just drives me crazy because it just sounds... Wrong!

There has been good rap/hip-hop in the last 7 years that pushes buttons, you just gotta know where to look. Scroobious Pip is a perfect example. In his first album with Dan Le Sac he tackled the ideas of suicide, gave constructive criticism on the modern hip-hop scene, wrote a song called 'Thou shalt always kill' and even a track where he reads out a letter 'From God to Man' where he states "I'll say this about homosexuals right now, I don't hate ya". It's a shame he gets more credit as an actor in the mainstream media cause this guy is a fucking saint behind a mic!

I don’t get defensive or anything when Nicki Minaj says skinny=bad in her song because I don’t take it seriously. I don’t get the feeling she actually thinks lesser of skinny girls in real life. Meghan Trainor, however, comes off like she actually means skinny girls aren’t worth anything and that is when I sometimes get a bit defensive since I am one of those “skinny girls” with a butt on the flatter side, small arms and hands, and not because I have an eating disorder. It’s just my genetics and body build, and the same applies to girls that are larger set.

I have a dirty pleasure ;-; I like the song Hey Mama. You need to do a review on that song.

Hi Todd in the Shadows. Love your reviews. :) But I was wondering what are your thoughts on weird al? You see I saw your reviews of Blurred Lines, Fancy, Royals, your thoughts on Happy ect. Weird Al has parodied these good and bad songs you have reviewed. And I was wondering are his parodies on those "bad" songs better than the orginal?

Todd def likes Weird Al. Can't think of a specific review, but found this on an FAQ: What's your opinion on parody musicians (Weird Al, Rucka Rucka Ali, etc?) I enjoy a good parody as much as anyone, and I will eternally be a Weird Al fan.

6:25 no matter what the context, "filthy" and "butt" should never be used in the same sentence unless you're talking about something really specific and REALLY gross lmao

I unironically love this, and Nicki Minaj in general. ...but there is a Venn diagram I can draw where there is a tiny sliver for this track that includes my interests in hip hop, unlistenable noise, and sample-based plunderphonics. It works for me on so many (probably awful) levels.

The best response to this song I ever came across was a joke cover which rewrites all the lyrics so the song is a short instructional treatise on the natural history of the South American anaconda.

But they're not exactly mainstream. Same with Tyler, the Creator and I guess Clipping. And outside of Tyler, none of them are even close to Nicki's level of success.

Bruce Wayne Yeah but saying that nobody makes anything scary is kinda intellectually dishonest, wouldn't you agree?
