I have a 5 yr old who will be 6 in April and she has thick, waist-length hair. I also wash her once a quarter, used baby don't be bald when she got the baby bald spot lol, and have not ever blow dried or straightened her hair. Awesome video!

I always wondered how girl moms managed the natural hair thing!!! Once every 2 months/quarterly is definitely feasible! I never remember an itchy scalp as a kid...your children are so beautiful!!! She’s so pretty!

Right, scalp don’t get messed up until we start messing with our hair too often. Thank you so so much!

I have natural hair and I’m allowed to have my hair straightened once a year only by this lady my mom has known forever and heat protectant is a must . It is longer every year last year it was 23 inches .

Did he say “No!” I’m not moving out the way!!😂😂 I’m definitely going to try the twist after detangling bc it’s a struggle. Yes the black rubber bands work best for us too.

Let children be children. Heat styles are not necessary. Her hair is so beautiful.

She’s beautiful! Is there a particular reason why you only wash her hair every quarter? I’m only asking bc I actually may need to stretch washing my older daughter’s hair as well. Also, do you cowash in between that time?
@HerLifeSparkles4 жыл бұрын
Washing hair strips it if it’s natural moistures and oils. I don’t use heavy gels or alcohol based products in her hair. She doesn’t have dandruff or anything so it’s truly no need. I don’t co wash either but will use a spray bottle & cream to readd moisture when styling.

Thanks for sharing this! Beautiful children. Gorgeous thick hair. How much time passed between finishing washing her hair and styling? Was her hair almost dry? Im asking because i styled my girls hair similarly when it was freshly washed. Looked great at the time but the next day it was frizzy! All over. I feel so defeated

I don’t wash my girls hair a lot too. Maybe every 2 months, If that lol. She has beautiful hair though

How do you get away with only washing her hair every 2 to 3 months? When I was her age my mom had to wash my hair every other day because as a tomboy I would get grass or dirt or something in it often.
@HerLifeSparkles3 жыл бұрын
They play outside just about every day but not throwing dirt/grass or anything. She loves soccer and riding her bike but she's a super girl girl!

My mom never knew how to do girl hair and so it continues with me. How do you clean her scalp in between? I was moisturizing my daughters hair every other day and the hair butters just builds up

Since you only wash her hair once a quarter, do you cowash between that time?

I don’t co wash but will re-add moisture every time I style it using a spray bottle, detangler/styling cream.
